A clicking sound when you try to start the engine is usually caused by the starter solenoid not getting enough power to start the engine--in fact, it doesn't even have enough power to engage the bendix with the starter.
You say you have a new battery--are the terminals clean (and the cables)?
Also, check the ground where it is fastened to the engine.
