Force a reset by loading version 5 desktop software on your laptop first and then connecting the BlackBerry to it. It may take some time for your pc to recognise that the BlackBerry is plugged in, so be patient!
When it connects, reload the firmware.

Reload software 513

Hi, the Application error 513, reset message says that the device OS is toasted and needs to be rebuilt. In order to do this, you need to have Blackberry Desktop manager on your computer, your data cable, and a download for your device software. Either from blackberry or your carrier. The easiest method is to download and install the device software. Once it's installed, launch desktop manager and plug in the phone. If the phone is detected, you will be prompted to update. Follow the prompts. If not, you will have to do it the hard way. open command prompt (start>run>cmd) and goto C:\program files\common files\Research in Motion\Apploader Then choose Loader /NOJVM That's going to rebuild the blackberry.

BlackBerry Curve 8300 Smartphone: jun error 513...

Hello,

Thank you for using Fixya1

Based on www.blackberry.com the error message you are getting is due to typing incorrect password for a couple of times (10 or more). All of the data and applications on the BlackBerry smartphone have been deleted.

The BlackBerry® Device Software must be reloaded on to the BlackBerry smartphone. For instructions, click HERE

Note: Due to the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) error, the BlackBerry smartphone will not show a Connected state in the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager. Proceed to reload the BlackBerry Device Software using the Application Loader.

I had a "reload software 513" error and had to reload software to get my blackberry bold to work. Now when I talk with people they can't hear me.

Hi,

Download the Blackberry Desktop Manager from https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22, after downloading run the setup and after completing this step. Connect your blackberry to your computer and open the BDM (Blackberry Desktop Manager). The application would recognize your blackberry, when it shows that your smart phone has been connected, you can now run the software. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.

Run the software and allow it run. This process may take few hours to complete once done it would automatically reboot your phone and you are good to go.

Thanks

How to reload software 513?

I have a blackberry curve that drove me crazy because the application loader didnt work with mine either but here is what I tried and it worked for mine so hopefully it will work for yours. First, go to the blackberry.com website and click on software. Then click on device software. Select the version that is compatible with your phone. Be sure that your phone is connected to the computer with the USB cord that is came with. Then click download and follow the instructions from there. This should reload the software on your phone.
