Question about Uniden EXA15580 Cordless Telephone
Our 5.8 uniden phones have static. one land phone 3 portables. When we plug in an another uniden land phone which is from a previous set we do not experience the static, but it still continues on the newer set.
Disconnect the ac adapter from the base - before you plug the phone back in with power - press and hold down the menu button (center silver button under the led display) and the number "1" and then plug it back in - keep holding those two buttons until the date and time reappears - it worked for me and it didnt erase the phone numbers stored in the base unit.

Your phone is picking up frequency of something around house or outside close to power lines also known as interference
move phone to different location in house see if the static disapates
also it can be in the houses wireing and not just the phone service provider will have to come out and check your phone lines for you
also a failing battery can cause static in the phone goto closes radio shack and pick up new battery and see if this clears up your problem
