I am not a techie and I bought two Canon HV20 cameras for a small video project we are doing in Florida after reading some sensational reviews. We took the first batch of tapes to our "producer" who call me up screaming that they tapes frozeup her Mac laptop with Final Cut Pro. She then took it to her editor who is a techie and said it it froze up his Final Cut on a Mac Tower and it took him three hours to unravel the mess. I run a business and it seems really odd that Canon would have a camera that is not compatible with one of the topvideo editing software programs. I read on some discussion sites that some owners gave up trying to edit in HD and finally settled for lower quiality images for home use while other said an older lap top could not handle the size of the images in HD. Is theresome other propritary software required to inport the footage into Final Cut? Any sugestions? Mike Joyce, Ft.Lauderdale

Firstly check whether your Canon HV20 camera supports mac operating system or not..if supports and you are facing problem go with windows operatins system

Yes..it's available from a reseller that works with Canon. If you can give me the actual model number from that unit, and perhaps a serial number, we'll be able to proceed.

OTOH, that question about the Canon and Final Cut, that's usual. Those folks don't even go to the same conventions or seminars.
