Question about OKI MicroLine 420 Matrix Printer

Open Question

420 printer will not advance and jams when loading paper. We have blown it out and taken it completely apart to check for paper stuck. Also check the lever on right side and the lever on the ribbon. And check to make sure setting were not changed.

SOURCE: Paper Jam in OKI B4300 Led Printer

This printer is designed with a dual toner/drum chamber. Do not separate these two parts. Upon opening the lid, you will find the toner/drum assembly right in front of you. Pick it up with both hands and pull straight up. After that, you should be able to take the jammed papers. Know this: once a paper is jammed, printing another paper will NEVER take the first out. Just make sure to remove the complete papers. If they break, make sure you extract all the pieces.

SOURCE: Won't print - says 'paper jam 2' but no paper is stuck in machine

Paper jam 2 error code is saying the jam is in the fuser area of the machine.
You need to remove the toner cartridge, and since you said you've taken the whole thing apart, maybe try a flashlight and look for a LITTLE piece of paper that may have torn off that remains stuck around that fuser area (the fuser is the thing behind the toner that gets hot-- so be careful -- but look in the corners and anywhere a small piece of paper could have torn and got stuck.

If you're absolutely sure that there is nothing stuck, I'd try to do a hard-reset: Turn off the machine, unplug the power cord and the cable that goes to your computer (if it's hooked up to one. And if it is hooked up to a computer, power down the computer as well.) Wait a minute or two, plug the computer back in, plug the power cord and cable from the printer back in, then turn on the printer and the computer and let them both go through their various start-ups.

If none of that works, let us know.. but from what I know and the docs I have access to, it should work... (fingers crossed!)

Good Luck!

SOURCE: E2 Paper Jam code flashing .... but no paper jam!

There is a small sensor on the fuser that most likely has become disloged. It requires a lot of disassembly to get to.
But an E2 code is that sensor not being cleared off. It pops out of the frame sometimes during paper removal.

Hey
often there is a tiny piece of paper stuck somewhere along the path the paper travels, you could try loading a thick piece of photo paper or similar and press the OK button a few times so it feeds the page through the machine.
If that doesn't help it could be a sensor problem, or there might be a foreign object that doesn't belong to the printer inside somewhere, possibly a paper clip or similar.
Unplug the machine and see if you can rotate the gears - or the bars inside the printer and see if something comes out.
If that doesn't help, and you are outside of warranty, you would have to start taking the printer apart to find the problem in the paper path or the stuck switch or sensor thats triggering the paper jam.
theres alot of small parts I don't really recommend it unless you have previous experience.

Our hp printer/fax/copier says there is a paper jam but we cannot find one and we have all but taken the thing completely apart

if you have taken the ting apart and there is no paper in it, then the jam is likely to be caused by a dirty or faulty sensor.

Try cleaning the sensors, if not working, then you may have to change parts to determine the cause of the problem

The paper in the printer is lined up and everything should be working however I need to print things for work and it tells me that it is either jammed or that I need to load/ reload the paper. I can't...

I have found over the years that printers really don't lie. If it says there is a paper jam there usually is. I have completely taken apart a large laserjet printer to find a very tiny piece of paper causing the problem. Also if you run sticky labels through printers they have a tendency to leave residue or even part of a label behind which will cause the printer to tell you there is a jam. Check your printer very carefully, use some canned air to blow it out. You may need a printer repair person to come out and take it apart to look for possible stuck paper.

Printer jammed. I cleared the jam but it

You most likely have a tiny piece of paper stuck in the paper path that cannot be seen unless taken apart. Depending on the type of printer... remove the paper tray and the back cover and look for any small shred of paper. If you still see nothing, a local repair shop would be your best option.

How to solve a paper jam on dell 924 printer

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
