You don't say what device this is on, HOWEVER most thngs have a "contrast" control that will adjust the visibility.

Sometimes they call this a viewing angle control and sometimes it is a small shaft from the back of a unit, OTHER times it is a setting available through a menu... if you can read the display enough to find it...

I have a korg pa50sd, but its lcd brightness is too to control this? it is very difficult to read?

There is no adjustment to control the brightness in korg pa50/sd.
It is hardware problem.
-Is the white backlight that is too high?
-normal backlight, but words is too dim?

Both of that case, can be caused by damage / change of voltage control for lcd. Perhaps there are parts that are damaged or have changed in value. Typically capacitors etc.
If the backlight is too bright, then the damage is in backlight controller, may transistor or an inverter transformer.
Proceed with the repairs to the experts.

I have a Technics PR-305 Digital piano The back light is barely light when I turn on the piano Can that be replaced?

yes maybe you may fined that some of the power to the led is being blocked by causing a larger resistant to the led which will cause it not to light up as bright.

My lcd backlight is very pale, how can I encence the brightness??

Reading your user manual on page 12, bullet 9 you will find the method of changing the contrast of the display. There is no brightness adjustment possible, however the contrast DRASTICALLY affects the readability of the display.

Hello. It's my first time on this forum. I just got a Fostex VF08 multitrack recorder from a friend of mine. But when I switch it on, the display is just orange, showing no text. All the commands seem to...

You will need to put th set on for really some time. I assume that the person who gave you must give more information if the recorder was working prior to this or was idling for along time.
If so leave the set on and allow the electronics to bring up voltage to all stages.
If there is no result look near the display unit the links, the cconnectors and the processor.
Now is your experienced friend can check out the prrocessor and display interface we can have some leads.
So check this out and respond

I am trying to get the LED darker so I can see it outside in bright area. How do I do it -KORG PA 50 Keyboard

Try as you might, there doesn't seem to be a contrast control on this unit.

Things to try:

Shielding from light.

Polarizer similar to those used for privacy on computer screens.

Try a color filter, possibly orange.

Maybe a good old umbrella as silly as it sounds... there just isn't any way to darken the display.

The display by the way is NOT and LED, but a LCD on this unit.

Korg Wavestation EX LCD Screen Info disappears!

This is characteristic of a poor contact someplace within the unit NEAR the connections for the display. It may also be a bad plated-thru-hole in the circuit board. This problem could also be on the display circuit board itself. They often have a complete microprocessor right on the display itself.

The vibration from the keys causes the connection to break, and the re-cycling of the power sends enough of a pulse to break down the oxide at the poor connection.

These can sometimes be found with freeze spray circuit cooler and often by applying gentle pressure at suspect points on the boards and looking for changes.

It for certain is a get out and get under repair involving taking out a lot of case screws and VERY careful handling of the cables within the unit.

Its not the internal fuse or plug fuse, their both ok. Just got no lights and only solid black boxes in the LCD display.

Hi there. Switch Mode Power Supply failure. Probably cooked power MOSFET. Only uses PCB to dissipate heat. POOR design and I told them so. (Line 6)

No sound, no lights except lcd screen and only shows black boxes

sounds like something shorted. you probably have a shorted relay and maybe more. depends on when the protection circuit kicked in during the short. the relay being shorted will not allow power to even go to the power supply on/off switch. you can test with a mulitmeter, just be care full, black/groung lead grounded to chasis (a must!!!!!! can use a screw hole to stick the test probe in). then set your meter to read 200 ac volts and touch off on a leg of the switch, etc. look at your readings and see what kind of voltage is rolling thru. you should be getting close to 120 acvolts. carefull!!! if nothing then the problem is before the switch, relay, power resistor, diode, etc. The worst case would be a transformer but i am not to sure line 6 power schemes. the relays are hard to find, you should have part numbers on it, for parts goto you can get almost anything.
