Hi there!
First, I would suggest that you need to stick with your listing and report the emails to if you are getting the emails in your personal email account. But if the buyer is so sure to buy the item, you can then list the item as a buy it now for the price they wanted to pay for it. But if it feels too good to be true, I suggest not to continue and report it.
I hope this helps you out a bit. Have a great day!.

On 2 seperate auction items this week eBay showed me as the highest bidder when the auction ended but I shortly received an email stating I had missed the item by $2.50 above my highest bid.

take it up with e-bay
The auctioning system is a bit "loose' in that the house bids against you just to raise the price, so ask the question , if you were notified as the highest bidder then why were you out bid and are you still responsible for the bid amount payment

How to make a secret maximum bid

When you bid on an item you can list your maximum bid. Ebay will increment your bid as someone out bids you, untill your max is hit. At the point your max is hit, ebay will email you that you have been out bid.

Laptop Power Supply

Try eBay

you might find better results on ebay if you just put your laptop's make and model instead of the battery's numbers.

For example if your laptop is an HP Pavilion 1137nr in the search box on ebay type: HP Pavilion 1137nr AC Adapter and you will get tons of results. Filter the returned list by Buy It Now so you don't have to bid and then sort the list by Price Low to High. Make sure you take note of where the item is located before you purchase it.

What price this item?

While bidding on an item the reserve price was lowered putting my max bid above it and good for the win but Ebay manipulated my bid and lowered it to below the new reserve and cost me the item. I complained and they told me it was for my protection they took the item away from me. They did not protect me I wanted the item. This seems to help the buyers who have no intention of buying the item just running the bid up. How can I get this resolved

I have sold a motorcycle on eBay, The winning bid being £400.00. The winning bidder phoned me last night and told me he did not have £400.00, And asked if he could pay...

No, he has no right to request or do this. Do not agree with him, he is trying to pay less and he is wrong.

Sorry this is happening to you and this usually isn't the case so don't give up on eBay.

I would call or email eBay and tell them and they will allow you to relist it.

How does a reserve price work? If I outbid everyone and meet the reserve will I pay the reserve price or the higher bid price that I bid. Thanks Eddie

You'll pay a minimum of the Reserve price. You'll only pay more if someone else bids a higher price.

Once an auction goes past the Reserve, it works like any other normal eBay auction. The Reserve is just for the seller to prvent the item going for less than that price.

Hope this helps.

What do I have to do to be able to purchase an item from EBAY ? I was looking at a pair of shoes that said buy now and when I clicked on it nothing happened. Can you give me step by step instructions on how...

Buy Now would only work if there are no bids on the item. Once there is a bid, you have to place a bid within the alotted time and wait to see if your bid wins. Buy Now allows you to buy at the listed price... no chance to get a lower price. Note however, that sometimes the listed price is the best on the marketing. Do your research before buying on Ebay. Hope this helps.
