Thanks, I've tried 2 sets of new batteries, tried plugging it in with the adaptor in an outlet that I tested works. I hadn't used it in several months, sitting on a shelf, but don't remember it falling or something like that. It used to turno on just fine

  • rjvenicefl Oct 13, 2010

    what was that?

  • rjvenicefl Oct 13, 2010

Just wondering if this is the opinion of others, the device has failed

  • rjvenicefl Oct 13, 2010

well I took the batteries out, and then with adaptor it turned on (wouldn't turn on with batteries in) but won't do anything else. If I hit record it turns off. If I turn it off won't come back on for a few minutes after unplugging it. It worked so nicely a few months ago!

Hi. Have you tried running the recorder using AC adapter. This is a common issue with this recorder. Did you noticed that the batteries became hot when you plugged it in the device? If yes, then you need to have the unit checked with the manufacturer and have i repaired. Do not attempt to turn on the unit or put batteries to avoid further damage.

This is already a unit problem. You should be able to use the unit when using an adapter. Since it wont let you do that, then there might be something inside that is not functioning well. Might be one of the chips is failing. i suggest you take it to the store where your bought it. I hope it is still under warranty.

Then the device has failed, the cost to repair is more than the cost to replace.

When I turn on my Canon ir 1018 it doesn't stop heating. i.e it doesn't get ready for photocopying. It keeps on turning but doesn't stop in order to get ready.

This sounds like a faulty fuser assy. Basically the machine is warming up but nevers gets to temperature. The lamp has probably blown and for some reason it is not giving any error.

I would put a new fuser in and all should be well.

Sanyo television doesn't turn off either by using the remote or by turning it off at the tv.All other fuctions work using the remote or directly on the set.Even using the sleep timer doesn't turn...

Unplug the set and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't then it sounds like there is a problem on the board underneath the power button. Something isn't allowing the circuit to be cut.

My Sansa doesn´t work well,

If it is still on, hold down the power button for about 15 seconds; that should turn it off. Try turning it on again. If it still does not work, turn it off by holding power for 15 seconds, then on again like this: - Put hold on - Hold record - Press power on This will start recovery mode, follow on-screen instructions. Hope all goes well!!
