Open your internet explorer and go to tools on the top tool bar. Tools then internet options, you will see a web address highlighted. Delete what is in there and type in what you want it to be. click apply and ok and close your internet explorer. When you reopen it and click on home it will go to your new home page!

Which internet browser are you using?
Explorer? Firefox?

In most cases you could simply trying going to the website you want as your homepage, then find an area on the webpage that is not an add or a link.

Right click on the address in the address bar at the top and select copy.
Then in:

Explorer click on "Tools" at the top of your browser and open "Internet Properties" then delete anything in homepage section and PASTE your new homepage.

Firefox I think is along the same lines but you may even be able to set your homepage when you rightclick.

Hope this helps

How do I get google back as my home page

That is because you may have connected to yahoo.com and lost the home page default. In internet explorer whilst you are in Google home page you select Internet options from the tools menu and in General tab where is has space for default page you click "use current' and ok. That should save google as home page. Exit explorer and select again to make it work.

Why has google quick start taken over as my home page and wont let me go back to my normal home page????

You might have a piece of Malware that has changed your proxy settings. Click Tools, Internet Options, Connections Tab & uncheck the Proxy Server box if checked. Also Click Tools, then Manage Add-ons. Disable any Toolbars or search providers that don't seem right. Run a scan using the free version of Malwarebytes.

Lost my home page.i wish goole to be my home page. it has changed yo bt. why

My home page is igoogle...and I've loved it. BUT, Google is dropping igoogle November 1st and I'll have to figure out something else. It is somewhat suggested that igoogle home page users switch to Google Chrome page and set it up as a home page... and Google doesn't really even seem very excited about THAT. Hmm.. right now, the idea of setting something up with Google Chrome impresses me about as much as kissing my own sister. I'm thinking mostly about switching to Yahoo.... but there are a few others available.. Facebook has taken over my website, want to remove facebook

Hello and welcome to fixya.

If you are referring to the default home page that shows immediately when you open up internet explorer, firefox or any other browser, you can un-set facebook from your default HomePage very easily like this:

1. Internet Explorer 8 (and earlier versions): Go to Tools-->Internet Options-->Then to the first tab ("General") replace the part that says http://www.facebook.com with any link of your choice (eg: www.google.com or www.bing.com)

2. Firefox (all versions): Go to Tools-->Options-->Then to general tab the Startup section reads "Home Page" to a point and this is set also to http://www.facebook.com. Again, replace this with a link of your own choice (google or bing).

Regards from FixYa.

Thanks.

Please make my home page google...I do not know how to do it.

Hello,
Go to control panel and open Internet Options. The first page that pops up will have a section that says Home Page. Type your home page that you want (e.g. http://www.google.com) and click APPLY and then click OK.
Thank you ,
Lolita
