Question about Kenmore Dryers
If the dryer just stops most likely it's the motor, the only way to tell is by starting the dryer until it stops and check with a meter to see if power is still going down to the motor, what happens when it stops and you start it again?does it run or is it dead, what happens if you move the timer by hand after it dies,is it on time dry or auto?try running it in different spots on the timer,it could be a few things.like i say you need to get in there with a meter to find out,i've found in most cases it's the motor when this happens but don't go out and get one and put it in until you know for sure,if you start it when it dies does it make a loud humming noise?let me know what you find, try moving the timer and try to restart it and let me know what you find
