How can I set tone/ pulse so I can dial out (by 2 users)

I just purchased my units I can answer the phone but I cannot dial out - live in rural area with tone (I believe) so maybe this has to be changed - how do I do it so I can dial out Thanks. Cubcadel

I have the same problem.

I can dial within my state (Western Australia) and mobile numbers but not Eastern states. (Normally we enter a code before dialling out, as I'm working from a university). I went into menu > Global setup etc to try and change the Dial Mode (from pulse to tone?), but only options which come up are 'Name Tag' and 'Insert.' Any idea?

Press menu and use the arrow down to goto Global setup and press select. Use the down arrow and goto Dial Mode and press select. Use the down arrow to select your dial mode and press select

i changed my dial mode from tone to pulse and it works

whats the difference between` tone /time break` and `tone /earth` dial modes?which one to use for uk talktalk phone line?
