My Sanyo EM Z2001S microwave's beeps and noises are super loud (much much louder than any other microwave I've had). Is there any way to adjust this or turn if off?

SOURCE: Microwave runs when door open

This is probably a a bad door switch or door switch mount. Chances are only the fan and light are running when you open it, but better safe than sorry. Opening the door while cooking (without first hitting the STOP pad) is the primary cause of door switch failure but not the only one. I have a text file called "doorsw.txt" which helps in diagnosing and repairing door switch problems, and a file called "safety.txt" which is of vital importance. You can find these files by searching at Yahoo.com (not Google) for this: microwave display safety.txt If you still have a problem, please write back with more detail. Be safe!

SOURCE: Displayd LOC Code

The first step is to unplug it from the wall for a few minutes then try again.

In case it helps, model EM-S5595 is unlocked by holding the Stop/Clear button as in the photo below.

If that does not do it, try Sano/Fisher Service at http://sanyoservice.com/ .

You may also have a keypad or control board problem.

SOURCE: I have a Sanyo Microwave

1.Some microwave has option to turn the sound off or make it low by pressing some keys on control panel. Find the manual book.
2. If this is really necessary then you can turn it off by cutting one wire to the small speaker on control board.

I need a user manual for a Sanyo super showerwave 800w microwave. Model no. EM-G204 There aren't any on manuals online. Thanks Luke.

You can just type "EM-" (without quotes) in the search box at the Sanyo (Panasonic) support site here.

Check a few of the first results to see if they're close enough to help you.

If not, contact them via that page for more help.

How do i unlock the control key pad on a sanyo super showerwave

Try holding down the Stop button for approximately 5-10 seconds. This is the industry standard for locking and unlocking microwaves, although your Sanyo may vary. Please let me know if this helps!

Sanyo microwave model em-s5002w won't heat...sounds louder

Sounds like a component failure in the microwave circuit.

It will be one or more of the following -

Fuse
Diode
Capacitor
Transformer
Magnetron

Reply back and I can help you more. These failures happens to new or old microwaves.

Is there a wy to disconnect the beeper?

Looking at the owner's manual, there is no shutoff listed.

One way to make it quieter is to put a piece of electrical tape over the piezoelectric beeper.

To silence it, you would need to cut one connection to it, desolder it, or simply break it off.

The microwave facility in this multi function Sanyo shower wave oven EM-D993 has ceased to work. Everything else does.

When you hit Start to cook, do the inside light and turntable come on?

Any unusual noises? Is it louder or quieter than usual?

These answers will help me judge whether it's in the high voltage section (magnetron, transformer, or diode) or the control section (door switch or control board relay or connection).

Today is the day my microwave stopped working

Magnatron is suspect.
Need to put a voltmeter on the input (primary) side to the high-voltage transformer (big heavy iron thing in there)
Should be getting 120Vac when it goes to cook cycle.
Don't touch the other (high voltage) side of this transformer.
If the power is there, you are looking at replacing the magnatron.
Could also be the high voltage capacitor or diode.
Its affordable if you do it yourself - buy the part on EBAY - lookup "universal magnatron"

Touchpad

This is usually due to a failure of a door switch or a broken door switch mount.

If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

If you need a part that's not locally available, check at http://www.wehaveparts.com but leave off the dash when you enter your model number.

Touch Pad

Touch pads are not the most reliable things. It sounds as though one of the keys is stuck on. There is nothing you can do for this, as there are no user serviceable parts inside, but there are voltages present which are INSTANTLY LETHAL, & may persist even if the unit is unplugged. Check your local thrift stores, as used microwaves are often sold there very cheaply, often as low as $5.
