Cannon oven cut out when cooking a steamy meal. I cant get the cooker to switch on it keeps tripping the main safety breaker off.

Check that there is sufficient ventilation from the cooker area and that the fan is working (if there is one), Sometimes a piece of insulation may become displaced and block the louvres and then the steam concentrates in the electrical circuits and shorts to earth. Even insufficient space behind and around the oven can create this problem. If the latter is the case, an additional extractor fan may be a solution.

The cooker hood fan does not work. ou can hear it wanting to work but fan does not come on. There is electric present. Can you help

Remove the fan motor, clean it and lubricate the bearings. These motors and fans get gummed up with cooking and this jams them up. Make sure that the power is off before starting work and the the motor is completely dry before installing it. You may need a penetrant spray to shift the build up. Do not get any solvents on the motor windings, they could destroy the insulation.

How do i fix a LOGIK L90CHDG10 90cm Cooker Hood to the wall and what are the power requirements thanx

That should come with a drawing to cut out, sometimes the box itself will have that on, and one places it on the wall to mark screw holes for fixing.
It will run, as it is only a fan and a light buld, from the cooker switched outlet on the cooker point, or a fused outlet from a spur.
If you are unsure, get a qualified electrician to wire it in for you!

Good morning We are about to fit a rangemaster classic hood 120cm approx. to suit our Elan 110 dual fuel cooker with a gas hob. What is the corrrect distance we should leave between the hob and...

In my experience, the hood should be just above head height, that will avoid banging your head, and at least 33 inches or 8ocm above the hob.
Hope this helps.

I have a Hotpoint HE63X extractor hood and the bulb blew yesterday when I pressed the button to switch it on. This has also stopped the extractor from working. All other appliances are operational and...

I've got the bloody thing in bits as I write - I had the same problem as you - and it's the switch itself that has blown! From al the carbon in the swithc unit I would say we were luck the thing did not catch fire!

I'm looking for spare parts now to see if I can get a new switch or a complete unit of switches. The problem will be, it is one new switch, or a new board it all requires soldering.

Just to confimr, there is not a seperate fuse for the lights - perhaps there should be.

My fan works on my microwave by it does not draw suction

Actually, the fan in the microwave is only there to cool down the magnetron which cooks the food. It gets very hot over a period of time and the maintains constant temperature across it. Suggest you use an extractor to remove fumes.

Venting hood not working on microwave mdel# JVM1630BJ03

Start the fan and check the outside vent first.I have found the weatherstrip on the exterior damper can get coated with grease and will become stuck and not allow the damper to open.
