Problem for Funai TruTech DVDVCR Dual Recorder

Recorded DVD wont play on any other DVD Player

I have just Recorded on to DVD. All though the recorded DVD plays on the Funai DRVR-B778, the DVD will not play on any other DVD Player. I have tried to play it on my computer and says the DVD is blank. and I have tried it on every other DVD player I have in my house.

- I have the same problem - have copied about 6 dvds of my Daughters first nativity for family whocouldnt make it and no-one is able to watch it on their dvd players! Im sure the discs were finalized before ejecting!! Aaarrgghh!- ratt2y601

I have copied my Daughters first Nativity to several DVD's for family who could not make it and they are ALL unable to watch it!

to finalize press setup on remote control, then use the up and down buttons on the remote [white ones in middle] to go to disk edit, it will then say finalize so move the white buttons again to go to finalize ,then push ok button. I can record but it comes up disk error when I try to finalize . Does anyone know what causes that?

I lost my manual. Can you describe how to finalize it? I can't finad any buttons to press that say finalize on them.

Hi Zakk,

Have you finalized your recorded DVD? It must be finalized in order to play back on other DVD players and also on your computer. Just follow the instructions in your owners manual. It will take only 10 minutes or so. Good Luck. Bill
