the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: What power supply required for my ECS Elite

Normally (90%) it is center positive. The larger outside is effectively 'Ground' and not only connects the inside socket securely to the motherboard, but also provides massive support to keep it aligned and attached by connecting to the most massive copper parts of the PC Mainboard inside. In most cases (pun intended) there is a diagram of a C with a o inside somewhere near to the connector on the PC which tells you which is definitely which. AC doesn't matter, so if its 12V 3 A ACV it makes no difference which is which... and in those same 90% of cases, there is a Diode on the Positive side which only allows POSITIVE (+) volts to flow in IF the other side is more NEGATIVE (-) so no worries... it will not smoke ;-)

Hope that helps

Not sure if you have done this so give this a try.

* If possible, plug your Starlogic monitor into another working computer. If the Starlogic monitor works then it is the port on the original computer that has gone bad. The solution would be purchasing a new video card such as PCI or AGP video card. (Assuming all other aspects of your PC are working fine)
*However, if the monitor does not work then you know your monitor is dead. You will need to buy a new or used monitor. **You may want to barrow someone's monitor and test your original computer just to make sure the port on that original computer is fine.

When i first turn my monitor on it works great for a few seconds. If i turn it off and back on it works for a few seconds again then blacks out. If i un plug the power source instead of the on/off button...

larry946, Sorry guy... Your power supply is not OK!!! I'm talking about the one inside the lcd monitor!! It seems as if it is detecting a "FAULT CONDITION" and then proceeds to go into "partial" or "full" shutdown mode, trying to avert a catastrophic, nonrecoverable failure. e.g. sparks smoke, fire. Partial = black screen with data still visible when flashlight held 1 inch from screen. Full = black and blank screen. What will you do now? The only good thing you told me was "WORKS GREAT FOR A FEW SECONDS" !!! That makes it a good CANDIDATE for a low cost repair if you do a DIY fix. If StarLogic warranty has expired and they don't have a "cash+old unit" swapout program for a refurbed unit, you will need to explore all your other options. Read thru my FIXYA profile and you will soon discover that your StarLogic unit is no different than any other CCFL backlit LCD monitor. Follow the links to the other websites you find in the profile to help you make the decision to DIY or contract out (more$$) the needed repair to your unit. READING is free!!! So do a lot of reading, and you will be better informed and not subject to getting ripped-off for $90 when it should have been only $25 to $45!!! Good luck with the repair! 12fixlouie or old aka louie12fix

Maybe they put more volts on it, because of the cable length. About putting the manual on Fixya. I do not know how you would do that. I know that you can have a little more volts and be okay but not enough is bad. Are you sure it is the correct cord?

If you are getting a "No Signal" message, someone may have inadvertantly pressed the wrong button on the monitor. Use up arrow of button #5 below to cycle through RGB (normal VGA connection) and DVI sources. Down arrow will result in "No Signal" message.

There are five buttons at the bottom of the screen on this monitor. From the left:
1 - sound volume
2 - degausser
3 - power on/off
4 - monitor set-up
5 - RGB/DVI source
