Here's what I think I figured out. The balance board powers off for the cardio boxing because it is not needed. The movements are measured by the hand remote and nunchuck not the balance board. The "bob" is still tricky to time right; great workout trying (sure hope I can walk tomorrow)! The trick is to move when the indicator square turns yellow. Good Luck! Hope this helps you!

The board thinks there is weight on it when there

If you have tried turning the wii and balance board off and then on again (sometimes board can get confused when initializing), you may need to contact Nintendo for repair/replacement. If the board is new, try bringing it back to the store.

Im having trouble with my balance board keeps repeating step off and press a.after a lot off turning the board over and over if it doesstart it wont give proper weight

the board is most likely defective, I have seen several boards with this problem. I believe it is related to the defect in the right rear foot sensor. try using the board check test to see if it will show the defect and replace the board.

When starting a profile/Mii on Wii fit plus it says to step off and press ''A''. We are not standing on it during set up. What is wrong? Is it fixable?

is it level? try pulling it up a little from its base. it could just be stuck and the pressure sensor is reading it as there is weight on it.

communication with the wii balance board has been interrupted every time we use the board for any exercise. We have synced many times, but still is happening. Is there any other solutions of what to do besides send it back and pay $60 for a new board from nintendo?

On some aerobic games, particularly the step aerobics, it does not register my footwork correctly, and on the moves where you lift your foot up it will not recognise that at all.

Make sure that the balance board is set up where the blue power button is facing AWAY from your Wii/TV.

If it is set up correctly, then run a diagnostic on your balance board (see instruction booklet).

Regrettably, these boards have a bit of a history of one of the 4 sensors going out. If this is the case, then ensure your product is registered at www.nintendo.com and contact their customer service department.

Good luck!

While working out the system stops frequenty.

Note that the sensor bar does not interact at all with the Balance Board. It seems that you may have a defective unit. Since you have tried brand new batteries, my suggestion is to open a ticket with Nintendo through their website.

I'm trying to go through the setup to WII fit. My child did the body test with no problems a couple of days ago. I keep getting an error (fidgeting) when I try to take the body test.

Please be a bit more detailed in the problem. The Wii Fit Balance Board is very sensitive to weight shifts. Ensure that you allow the board to calibrate properly. To do this, I would suggest the following steps:

1) Place balance board on a sturdy, flat, smooth surface. If you have average-shag carpet, be sure to use the little adapters that fit over the feet. If the carpet is too thick, then it will NOT work properly. You may want to consider a small piece of plywood or something similar to set between the carpet and Balance Board.

2) Don't step onto the board until it has calibrated (this is when the board establishes its zero point). It will clearly say "Starting Up" followed by "Ok, Step On." After this, you can generally stay on the board unless a particular routine asks you to get off or for some reason it needs to recalibrate.

3) Finally, you must ALWAYS back out all the way to the Wii Fit Plaza (where you pick your Mii) if you change players. Once the board is configured for one player, it will only be suitable for that individual. Its sensitivity is based on an individuals weight. For instance, if the board is calibrated for a 3-year old's Mii, and an adult decides to play any of the routines on that Mii, the board will be over sensitive (calibrated for the lighter weight). Conversely, if an sdult's Mii is selected and a child plays a routine, the board may not detect the movement.

I hope these steps will help. If not, please offer a step by step explanation on what you are doing and I will try to reassess your situation.

Thanks!

This is really very frustrating when you face such kind of problems. You may check out Wii Fix Guide to fix the problem yourself. This DIY guide will show step by step pictures to fix the problems yourself without any technical knowledge.
