Question about Refrigerators

1 Answer

The unit is noisy (and seems to be getting worse over time). I'm unsure whether to risk spending money to attempt a repair, or whether to just buy a new unit.

How to Decide Whether to Keep or Replace my Car?

hello. when a car starts to spill a lot of smoke is a good sign to change your car or sell it cheap.
also when you start spending a lot of money buying parts and fixing all the time, is a sign that you must stop spending money on it.

My lg lcd tv keep switch itself off every time it on a few seconds

If your TV is still within the warranty period call LG and get them to send you a list of local LG sanctioned repair shops as well as a notice that it is still within the warranty period. If it isn't in the warranty period you're still going to have to call them to find a sanctioned repair shop because they're the only people who have access to parts needed for repair. Ask for an estimate for repair first and then decide whether you want to spend the money to have it fixed, leaving you with an old TV, or whether you want to buy a new TV. The age of the set should enter into that decision. An old set with one part fixed is still an old set.

My TV (KV27V55) bought in 1993 seems to have died. No more picture, no more sound... Can it be fixed?

This is quite fixable but who knows how long it will take in good condition since it rendered 17years of service. You have to consider if it is worth than buying another high end unit. First ask the repair shop an estimate for service fee plus parts to have an idea how much money you are going to spend sending your unit to shop.

Thanks for using fixya.

I just was wondering what brake pads are the best for a 2008 ford edge. I have 38,000 miles on it and starting to squeak already. If you can give me a few ideas, I will *** the research on all. thanks

never buy the cheap pads. they are more metallic and sometimes not always but sometimes will squeal even when new. buy the OE or step up in quality even if the cheap ones are OE so are the step ups. spend 10-20 more dollars. get longer brake life, less brake dust on wheels, and not risking noisy brakes. ask guy at parts counter he wont steer you wrong. he wants u to spend more money

Machine has become very noisey especially on the spinning programmes, is it time for a new one?

It could mean that either the bearings or the spider needs to be replaced. If you try to spin the wash basket by hand, does it turn smooth and quiet or do you hear a rumble sound? If it is noisy, it probally needs a bearing change. To change the bearing, the washer has to be taken completely appart to get access to the bearing. The parts cost are relatively inexpensive, but the labor costs is high due to the time to disassemble and reassemble the washer. If you are handy, and have the tools, you can buy the parts and do it yourself. You have to decide whether it is worth spending the time and money to fix or to purchase a new machine.

2000 toyota sienna loses power on hills (engine missing). Just had tune up and problem became worse. Seems worse after a period of deceleration.

Discribe tune up. I my world they have been gone since about 1995. Also, please go back to where the work was done ,if it got worse immediately after you spend money to make it better. What are you going to do now? Go somewhere else and spend more or throw parts at it. If you really spent the time to find a good shop and went on a road test with you driving and them riding and they knew why your were there in the first place, they would repair it properly. They can not guess at what you want done. You have to work with the shop and communicate the issues with the vehicle. Now you hate the place that tried to help you. No one here or on the phone can solve your veh issues. Without your participation and the vehicle in the hands of a knowledgeable technician will the patient get better.

I am a contractor who has used this saw for about four years. I just ordered the new motor for $79. The Husky has been a great saw. Don't waste your money buying some junk for Harbor Freight.

Progressively worse red "ghosting" when showing films....

This could be either a connection problem internally or a problem with the red filter convergence. This is not a project to be attempted by an inexperienced person. The convergence adjustments should only be attempted with the proper setup and equipment. If you can solder, carefully open up the unit and look for poor solder joints and resolder them. You can also reseat all of the connectors and cables. If neither of the above ersolve the problem, take it in for service.
