Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z750 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I am unable to take pictures after turning on the camera. Each time I turn the power on I have to go through all the set up steps in order to take a photo. How can I go through the steps and save them so that each time I turn on my camera the settings are saved and I do not have to go through the steps each time?

Panasonic in lock mode and unable to unlock picture

Panasonic sets need to be reset to clear the v-chip settings. To do this, put it in standby mode, then press the POWER and ACTION buttons at the same time and then turn the power off. The set should reset to the factory defaults, and reset the v-chip. If you can't succeed, you must enter its service mode menu to make an unlock. Visit the site named 'Electro-help'. Click this link. Do a search by entering the brand name to your device by its search box at top right of the display window, because, posts are not arranged in alphabetical order, but by brand name at first.

Hi,

You can try the steps below one after another as we are not very sure about what could be wrong.

Fixing a Lens Error on a Digital Camera

Fortunately, about half the cameras that suffer this failure can easily be fixed by one of the following methods. None of these methods involve opening the camera, although some have potential to cause other damage to the camera if excessively done. If the camera is still under warranty, before trying any of these, please please first contact your camera's maker to see if they'll cover the repair, or to determine how much they'll charge for the repair. Who knows, you might get lucky. But if they quote you a number that's higher than the value of your camera, you may want to consider the following methods.

The methods are listed in the order of risk of damaging your camera. Thus make sure you try them in the listed order. And remember, these fixes (especially #6 and 7) should only be considered for a camera that's out of warranty, who's cost of repair would be excessive, and would otherwise be considered for disposal if unrepaired:

Fix #1:
Remove the batteries from the camera, wait a few minutes. Put a fresh set of batteries back in (preferably rechargeable NiMH 2500mah or better) and turn the camera on. If that didn't work, try pressing and holding the Function or OK button while turning the camera on.

Fix #2:
Remove the batteries, then remove the memory card. Then install new batteries, and turn on the camera. If you get an Error, it means you don't have a memory card installed, so turn it off, slip in the memory card and turn it on one last time.
Fix #3: Blow compressed air in the gaps around the lens barrels with the idea of blowing out any sand or grit that may be in there jamming the lens. Other variations include blowing with a hair dryer in "no heat" setting, or sucking the gaps with a vacuum (careful with this one).

Hope this is helpful.

The off and on button seems to have quit operating. It needed new batteries. We installed them and then we are unable to turn the camera on.

As a first step towards resolving your issue, we recommend you restore
the camera's default settings. You can reset all of the menu and button
operation settings to default except for Date/Time, Language, and Video
System. To reset these settings, please follow these steps:

1. Take the memory card and battery out of the camera for 20 minutes.

2. Please use a clean pencil eraser to rub the contacts on the battery.
Please do not store the batteries in the camera for travel. The
batteries will discharge even if the camera is not powered on.

3. Place a fresh (or fully recharged) battery in the camera.

4. Turn the camera on.

5. Put the camera in picture taking mode. Ensure the display is on.

Sony DSC-W150 power on keeps going to set date/time

The date and time settings are displayed after turning on the camera. Solution
sp.gif sp.gif It is normal for the camera to lose time and date settings if the internal battery is left uncharged for an extended period of time; some cameras will default to the time-setting screen when turned on if this happens. Follow the steps below to resolve this issue.
  1. Turn off the camera.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Insert a fully-charged battery pack into the camera.
    • If the camera is supplied with an AC power adapter, plug the adapter into a working electrical outlet and then connect it to the camera.
  3. Allow the internal battery that retains the time and date information to charge for at least 90 minutes.
  4. After enough time has elapsed to sufficiently charge the internal battery, turn on the camera.
  5. Set the time and date.
  6. Turn off the camera for 30 seconds.
  7. Turn on the camera again.
  8. Check to see if the date and time have been saved.
The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required. The Sony® eService Web site at http://eservice.sony.com/ can assist you in obtaining service from a Sony Service Center or locating a Sony Authorized Servicer.

Locked up

On my Moultrie MFG-DGW 2.1, I was unable to change settings etc... It seemed to be locked at the Date/Time screen. I powered off the unit, removed the memory card. Turned on the unit. Then I could change the settings. I made my changes, powered the unit off, reinserted the memory card, turned the unit back on and it read the card and I could make changes too. This happens from time to time. I just have to follow those steps to clear it.

Hope that helps.
