I am actually posting a link to give you steps to this, The SSID or Network name and the wireless key is what you will need. It is usually written on the router itself.
http://www.support.dlink.com/emulators/wbr2310/wireless.htm

The default settings you need to change is Admin and user, Hope this link will help you.
Thanks

Am i being thick? does each provider have their own type of router?? im trying to connect a d-link 615 using virgin, help please? havent got the disc for router and cant access 192.168.01 to download...

You need to connect your D-Link to a DSL or Cable modem. The ISP usually provides this modem and the configuration settings for the modem so you can connect to the Internet. To test your Internet connection connect a LAN cable from your computer to the modem and then open a browser. If you can coinnect to the Internet then you can then connect the D-Link to the modem and configure the D-Link for wireless settings so you can connect your computer/laptop to the Internet using a wireless connection.

Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer'sLAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link'sconfiguration URL..
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop withthe router's wireless settings.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Ive been asked to enter my code # and I dont know where to enter it .Can you help me?

if this is on the computer enter it in the box that comes up when you turn on the wireless, if it is in the router config go to 192.168.0.1 in internet explorer, put in your user name and password (admin, admin) unless you changed it, and enter it under security settings. You should make sure that you have a password on your dlink so that no one gets free internet from you.

Welcome to fixya

No proplem you don't need a software cd to secure the router. Please follow the steps

Click the below link
http://192.168.1.1

Now it will ask for username and password

Enter username = ( blank) and password = admin
If you can't login using this credentials then you will have to reset the router

If you logged in . Then click on Wireless > Wireless security

On this screen select

Security Mode : WPA Personal
WPA Algorithm : TKIP
WPA shard Key : "enter a password here"
Group Key Renewal : set to default

Click on save settings. After that restart router .
Now your wireless network is secured and you will have to type the WPA shared key inorder to connect to router when it prompts

Thanks

Hi! I can't connect to the internet wirelessly using a WRH54G. connection status is "limited or no..." when on dynamic IP. status says connected when a static ip is assigned. tried pinging the router and I...

"Limited or no conenctivity" means that the network key(security password) that you typed when connecting to the wireless network is incorrect. Try connecting the laptop to the router using an ethernet cable to check whether you can get online. Access your router's setup page to check your network key.

How to access the router's setup page :
1. Using a wired computer, pull up internet explorer or any browser.
2. On the address bar, type in 192.168.1.1 (default IP)then press enter. It will then ask you for a username and password. If you havent changed the settings, username should be left blank and the password is admin.
3. On the black bar on top of the setup page, click on the Wireless Tab. Then on the purple bar, click on Wireless Security.
4. On the Wireless Security page, you will then be able to check your network key.

Hi, im trying to find out the password to my

HI,

If you have any computer hardwired to the router than click on start >> go to run >> type cmd and press enter >> type ipconfig and press enter >> this will show you an ip address, subnet mask and default gateway >> note down youe default gateway >> open an internet explorer and type the default gateway in address bar for example : 192.168.1.1 and press enter >> it will ask you for user name and password >> by default user name should be admin and password should be admin/password. >> after logging in to the router page go to wireless security and check your wireless network key.

If you fail to do this than you might have to reset your router and have to re-configure it again.

1. Install Software that Came with The Product. Usually it has on-screen instructions.
2. Hook up wbmr-g54 to your computer. ( Ethernet Cable to Modem, And Ethernet Cable to Computer. If you have a wireless thingy majig for your computer then that would detect your router already.)
