I think, in BIOS setting your first booting device is the 60GB HDD. change it to HDD0 as 1st boot, CD Drive as 2nd boot and HDD1 as third boot device and it would not ask any error report.

I have a wd sata hard disk and i cant setup windows xp on it, it the monitor says ..... " windows can not find any hard disk instal into your motherboard " i need to solve this problem please thank you

Windows XP didn't have support for sata drives. You will need to load the driver by pressing F6 when you start the Windows setup. You will see the message
Press F6 to load 3rd party drivers at the bottom of the screen when Windows is installing.

I can't power down my passport. When I right click on the safely remove hardward icon, click on the drive to close and click stop, it tells me: "The device 'Generic volume' cannot be stopped right...

This should be simple. It seems as though your PC is still communicating to your passport in the background. Make sure you are not copying/cutting and pasting anything to or from your passport.

Personally, I remove my thumbdrive without going through the proccess of: "Safely Removing Hardware". But this only because I know that my computer is no longer communicating to it, and because it not a matter of life and death to me if my data is erased.

But don't get me wrong, I do not reccomend pulling your device out "Unsafely". What I'm trying to say is, as a last resort, I would personally pull it out.

Anyway, completely shut down or disable all programs that may be communicating to this passport.

Then try "Safely Removing Hardware".

I have the CD for the lexmark X2350 but it will not install on my computer. I am running windows XP If I can't load the drivers, etc from the CD where do I find the drivers?

You can let windows Hardware Installation Wizard attempt to pick up the printer and configure it (If running XP SP2 or later OS, this should work) and if connected to the internet? Go ahead and let Windows search online for the updated driver (you'll be prompted to make this selection by the Wizard).
You should remove the CD, shut down the computer, then plug in the printer and start Windows and it should pick it up (it may take a minute or two, so be patient) and just follow the prompts the installation Wizard will provide. Also if you have an already corrupted installation, you can uninstall the device in "Device Manager".
Let us know how it goes.

Code 41
Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)

A driver was loaded but Windows cannot find the device. This error occurs when Windows does not detect a non-Plug and Play device.

If the device was removed, uninstall the driver, install the device, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver. If the hardware was not removed, obtain a new or updated driver for the device.

If the device is a non-Plug and Play device, a newer version of the driver might be needed. To install non-Plug and Play devices, use the Add Hardware wizard. Click Performance and Maintenance on Control Panel, click System, and on the Hardware tab, click Add Hardware Wizard.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.

Installing new memory

I would take it back to the Geek Squad.

If you want to fix it yourself, you need to get the drivers. Search your system for the driver file name it is looking for and then, point the installation wizard to that folder and let it load the drivers. Typically, drivers will be loaded in C:\Windows\System32

We have windows XP desk top. Can't install the drivers for the DWA-111 but the router works fine.

What specific error message/s does your computer prompt when you trying to install the wireless USB adapter? Since your running Windows XP you can skip on "run the CD first", try uninstalling all the componets for the adapter then restart the computer, when the computer is booted up properly insert the USB adapter(preferably used the USB port on the back of your desktop for maximum power). When the found new hardware wizard pops up, choose install software automatically(make sure that the setup CD for the USB adapter is already loaded on the CD-ROM drive then hit next.
If the installation proceeds click on finish a bubble should appear on the lower right hand side of your dekstop screen(syatem tray) prompting you that one or more wireless network is being detected, click the baloon and check if your network will show up on the list.
