This could mean two things: a problem with the cmos battery or the motherboard itself. Try to remove the cmos battery first and install. If not, then replace the cmos battery.

Dell Inspiron 1545 red processor:Pentium(R) Dual-core CPU T4400 @2.20GHz is error code 2000-0221, how to solve this problem?

this is a bios level error, you should still be able to run the system. this code is something you get when you hit F12 and run the diagnostics? or is this a blue screen error? you are probably going to need to boot to F2 (setup) then hit "Alt e" Alt F then Alt B the system will beep on the alt f but that's ok once this is done hit esc, save changes and reboot and see if you still get the error

Where is cmos battery located in inspiron 1545?

You can't see the battery from the bottom access panels, you actually need to remover the board to see the battery.
Back to Contents Page
Before You Begin. 2.Remove the system board (see Removing the System Board
3.Turn the system board over. 4.Use a plastic scribe to push the coin cell battery forward and upward to release it from the slot.

Here is the service manual you need to get to the battery.

Dell inspiron 1545 time-of-day clock stopped pops up an it locks up/wont let me open

you can try and right click and go into your time settings and make sure it is set up to synchronize with a time server. if that freezes it, go into bios and make sure your time/date settings are correct there. if you can boot into recovery console by tapping f12 and when presented with the boot menu arrow down to repair your computer. once you're in hit next a couple of times and when you get a maintenance menu go to the command prompt and type sfc /scannow. that should fix any system files that are jacked.

Hi, Ive been having problems with my laptop Dell Inspiron 1545 i was told to reset it to factory settings, how do i do that?

Hi i'm Rain.
some of the dell models have a built in factory reset .
It will be either F9 ,F10 , F11 or F12
If this option is not avalible to you you will need to go to start then all programs then you will need to go to accessories . In accessories click system tools then system restore.
Follow the on screen instructions.
Select a date before the problem accured. click next and allow the system to restore itself.

Inspiron laptop clock incorrect

Go into the BIOS by turning on the laptop and pressing F2. In there i believe on the main screen you can change the time and date. Do that, save changes and exit and then go into windows and see if it keeps the right time and date.

Let me know how it goes.
