Usually subs have outputs 4 ur monitors however if ur sub is active @ ur monitors are passive then you need 2 connect sub 2 ur tape loop with rca connections, usually you use the send signal from ur reciever which would norm connect to ur tape input , if the sub is passive then u connect direct to speaker output on amp then monitors to the sat connections on sub

This sub uses high level inputs and is not powered. Just connect your stereo speaker wires to the sub input and then use the output side to reconnect to the speakers. This is not convenient because of the extra wires, especially if the sub is anywhere besides right next to the receiver. Also, unless you've got a very stout reciecer or amp don't expect a lot of output, and no adjustability.

If your Kenwood super woofer is powered, look for an RCA subwoofer connector on the rear panel of your Onkyo and use that.

Can I hookup a powered subwoofer to a Kenwood 105VR receiver?

Had you bought the 106 version that has a subwoofer out socket. Some subwoofers have options for connection by speaker terminals. If you haven't bought the subwoofer yet check with the seller to make certain you can connect it via speaker wires. Otherwise you would be better with a non powered one.

I have a Jensen KS212 and I'm connecting it to a home theatre receiver direct to see if it works but nothing comes out of it. Does this mean the sub is not working or there's not enough power from...

Hi, welcome to FixYa..

Your subwoofer requires a seperate amplifier that has low pass filter in the pre out system, which means it will allow all low frequency signals from the input section of the amplifier/ crossover. Your receiver has combined signals of high, mid and midbass signals that will not be able to drive your subwoofer. That is the main reason why some receivers has "Subwoofer Out" to allow you to use "Active Subwoofer systems" (also known has self powered or has a built in amplifier w/ subwoofer)
For you to use your Subwoofer, it must have a seperate amplifier, connect it to Sub out of your receiver and from there you can hear the difference. Hope this helps.

Cannot get the subwoofer to play...all other speakers work fine...my Kenwood receiver is VR-309...the subwoofer model is Kenwood SW32-HT... I have also used the setup mode to make sure the Subwoofer is...

After making sure that your subwoofer is receiving power, as most models have their own amplifier, make sure that it actually is turning on. There is a possibility of a faulty power switch. Lets rule that out first.
Once the switch is on and the proper power connection is verified, turn your attention to the setup menu on your receiver. Navigate to the LFE/Sub output level. Adjust it up all the way. Then navigate to the crossover setting. Turn it up all the way. If the subwoofer also has it's own control panel including a crossover, turn that up all the way as well. Then with an input on the receiver that has a subwoofer output set up such as for DVD, play some audio. Or likewise you can also use the receivers' test tone capability that will pan each channel individually with a wide band pink noise signal that also includes a signal sent to the subwoofer output.

If this procedure does not produce results then send me a message including your subwoofer model and your observations of your systems' operation.

Connect a Sony SA-W3800 powered subwoofer to a kenwood receiver

Yes. It needs to know you have a subwoofer or it won't send low frequencies out to one. Then you have to calibrate its level to match the rest of your speakers. Hit the SETUP section in the manual (available at retrevo.com).

How do i connect it to a the subwoffer sw 50 ht

on the back of your receiver is a subwoofer pre-out, connect one cable here, and connect the other end of this cable to your subwoofer - line level in. (depends on your subwoofer and receiver) but that's how mine is connected. yours will be similar.

Cant get bass, fuse is fine

You don't say if you've configured the Receiver to know you have a subwoofer (under Multicontrol - SUBW YES). Unless it knows about the Sub it won't send anything out that single "preout". You can get an RCA splitter to run that single output to both inputs in the Sub.

Just as an experiment, temporarily run one a pair of cables from the REC OUT to the Sub's inputs and tune an FM station to prove the Sub amplifier is alive. If it's still silent, it's dead. If there is sound (muffled) you need to go back to the Receiver to figure out why the Sub Preout is signal-starved.
