My 8GB Verbatim flashdrive says that I only have a max cap of 5.95MB, I formatted device and still 5.95MB, what do i do

If format did not fixed its problem that indicates flash drive got internal hardware problem and you need to call 800-538-8589 for remedy.

You need to use the command (dos) prompt to format it. The sequence of command would be Click > Start > RUN > type "CMD" > type "CHKDSK" and the letter of the stick and "/F". Ex. chkdsk Q: /F > Enter

Plug your USB Drive into your computer, then go to:

Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Computer Management

Then once in the Computer Management Window look on the left under "Storage" and click the + to expand.

Find your USB drive on the list to the right.

If you right click the drive on the list, you'll have several options including the option to format it.
