Low CMK indicates that the machine is reading low Cyan, Magenta and Black Imaging Unit levels. This means that you will need to be replacing these 3 units shortly. I would also suspect that the yellow unit is low as well unless you have replaced it recently.
If you do not have these units I would get them ordered because the machine will lock out once the life levels of the units expires.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

I am getting black specks on the printed sheets-on both sides

This is usually a problem with the imaging unit. I wouldn't really recommend cleaning it yourself, but it is an option. A new imaging unit is a definitive fix however.

My konica minolta magicolor 4650DN laser printer says i unit low. what does this mean? do i need to order something?

That's the Image Unit. It should also tell you what color. C, M, Y, K. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black. Image units are seperate from Toner cartridges and don't need to be replaced as often. You will also hear people call it a Drum Unit. That's the same thing.
