JVC AV-48WP34 convergence issue

I am a long time ET and I have a convergrnce issue on stated model. I have also read some of the posts on this site. On yesterday I replaced the two convergence chips and a 1.5 ohm resistor that had opened up. Still same symptom. I haven't purchased a service manual yet. Any suggestions?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You definitely have a convergence problem based on the photo you provided. It looks as though someone reset the memory back to an uncorrected state or botched the job replacing the chips. Customer controls will not help you. You need to have a qualified technician address this problem. Good

Closely inspect the board for poor solder connections. Also someitmes the resistors will not show any signs of being bad even though they are open. It is wise to measure them but you need to disconnect the convergence yoke plugs to ge a good reading.

Have you got the cable connected properly and attempted a consumer convergence in the menu? If you've attempted that and are still having the issue there may be other components on the Conv Module that have failed.
