Lexmark P6350, carrier jam

there is astrip called encoder strip,its function is to tell the carriage location ,if its missing or unattached the carriage will hav all kind of problem.
SOLUTION:there is ahook that sits on the leftside and a spring it sits on to give it some lleadway i checked to see that it doesnt break, there is also a section of the carriage it slip thru also try to get it re attached
