Same issue. Laptops with internal wireless cards are able to connect to the router, but the WUSB54GSC adapter on my PC has been giving us problems. We used to be able to "fix" it by re-connecting to the network (Click Site Survey, find network, click Connect, enter pass phrase, click Connect) then re-try access to internet. Lately this has not been working - the connection is established, but unable to access the internet. In the past day or so, now getting WUSB54GSC.exe application errors ("the memory could not be written"). Am I doomed? Do I need a new USB adapter or is there some way to fix this one?

I just added the wireless notebook adapter and it

Is your wireless network secured ? IF secured then make sure that you are typing the correct network key / password.
if you are not sure about the wireless settings of the router then open the set up page of the router and check the wireless settings.
You are getting the message " connected to the access point but internet can not be found ". Are you using Linksys wireless adapter ?
What is the operating system ? If it is Windows XP then use windows utility to connect to the wireless.

When i am trying to connect to my neighbor router it saying "Cannot associate with access point" or sometimes "you're successfully connected, but the internet cannot be found" I tried to reinstall driver...

I believe you are too far away range wise. Here is an idea that has worked for me in the past. Get as close to the neighbor router as possible. Stay there and get a really good connection so that the PC remembers your establishment. Then attempt again from your original spot. This may just do it. Otherwise a booster is the next step.

Wep passphrase

You will be able to get the wep key or passphrase from the wireless router or access point.

To some routers, the SSID (wireless network name) and WEP keys are found underneath the router itself. It you cannot see any, then you will need to access the setup page of the router.

This depends on what is the brand of your router.

If you let me know the brand and model I might be able to help you in checking the settings.

I am connected to the access point but the internet cannot be found

an Access point is to add Wireless to a LAN. (which is ok if you have a Router connected to your LAN).

if you have no Router,  and only have an ADSL/Cable modem connected to a PC then you should have got a Router +ADSL/Cable modem instead of an Access point.  you can get routers like this which also have wireless, so you get all the functionality in 1 box

Here is a Wireless router, with hub and ADSL +Cable Support

Wireless-G LinkSys Model WAP54G random Internet Access

i think the problem is that when there are a number of pc's sharing the same wireless network the bandwith has to be shared and can be with upto 255 pc's. Connecting 255 computers to a single WiFi access point, while theoretically possible, is not recommended. Performance of such a network will be very poor. Install multiple access points instead to distribute the network load. By adding more access points to the network, effectively any number of computers can be supported (though the network becomes progressively more difficult to manage). On a home network, while dozens of computers and other devices may connect to the router, the performance of a shared Internet connection will quickly degrade as more computers access the Web simultaneously.
