Find your main suction line and be sure it is clear. Also be sure their is no false rocks or sumps to hide the pump. When you get to the pump if it is under water make sure it is clear and not air locked. If under the pond be sure it is clear of dirt and you will need to take apart to check the impeller. Before you do these things check all power in and out of switches or clocks and be sure the motor is running. If it is a submersible pump you will probably change the whole thing if the motor is out. If it is outside the pond just the motor and seals should do the job. Good luck.

Pump stopped working after 6months running can it be rebuilt

Has it exceeded the manufacturer's warranty? Don't try to compromise the water tight housing where the electro-magnet is located, as this could result in a nasty electric shock (or worse). Try cleaning the impeller and the impeller housing. Perhaps try a replacement impeller.

I would check the line fuse to see if it is blown. It is located in the plug under the sliding access cover. Slide it towards the cord to open. If the fuse is good and you have it less than 5 years, you might be able to get the company to fix it for free since it has a 5 year warranty. 1800 234 0604. Hope this helps you.

Water on the floor under the freezer side of unit

It happens to all those old refrigerators. There is a shield separating the drip container and freezer through a small hole. Check if it is blocked. This won't do much of the work and may not be stopped even if you do something. If you can, have a new refrigerator.

De-icer must have a short

The best solution to ice in garden ponds is to keep the water moving as moving water will not freeze. Depending upon the size of your garden pond you may try adding a fountain. All major pump brands carry small fountain pumps that include various fountain spray nozzles/heads or you can buy the pump and then purchase a Fountain Head Kit separately. The fountain will provide 1 - movement of water at the surface, 2- aeration for the pond, 3- pleasing sounds year round, not to mention the 4- aesthetic value. The added bonus is that you will not have to worry too much about shorts if you use a submersible pump. So try dumping the deicer and go for a fountain.

Does the pump have thermall protection? It sounds like its getting hot and tripping the thermal protection switch in the pump windings.
