Question about Ovens

Greetings, LG oven model # LSC5622WS is showing an F-7 error code. The oven, broiler and warming drawer wont heat up at all, simply display a 100 degree temp on control panel. Elements, clock etc all work as they should still. Help!! :)

    Thanks!

Code doesnt re-appear, but problem still persists.

By ERC, do u mean the largest circuit board in the back? There's lots of 'em!

  • honestlydish Oct 12, 2010

    Thanks for the link!
Just to clarify, when you say 'control board', do you mean the larger or smaller of the two pcb's?
If u look at the picture of the touchpad (part # 1366629) on the site-link you forwarded, that is the same as mine. Should I be ordering the smaller or larger one u can see there?
    Cheers!

Hi!
Let's try this:
1. Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds.
2. Re-apply power and observe for at least one minute.
3. If code re-appears, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

click on the following link and check the control board that look like the one on your unit. http://www.repairclinic.com/LG-Range-Sto...

The touchpad/control module #1366629 is the part the manual calls for replacement. This supplier says the item has been discontinued by manufacturer, you need to call LG to get the replacement item # or to find out where you can get yours rebuilt, you may want to ask how much will it cost before they send somebody over, just to be in the safe side. Good Luck!

What is a error code F/19 mean?

That error means that the lower oven is not heating fast enough. IT should rise to over 150 in 5 minutes. Check the broiler and the baking coils for continuity. If they are ok then check the radiant heater in the convection fan housing.

Kenmore warm ready drawer oven

I don't know about the burner... but the oven needs a safety valve (or the igniter) The safety valve is about $140. some people would rather replace the whole range than pay for the part and the service call.

GE wall oven gas model # JGRS14 won't heat past 100 and I don't see any flames

if you can see the ignitor glowing on either the broiler or the lower area of the oven then the gas valve is bad and not opening anymore, sometimes the ignitors are the culprit as they are in series with the gas valve and if weak wont let the valve open, but both upper and lower burners not operating i would suspect a gas valve first

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

F3-error. Kenmore classic oven Heating element will not go pass 100 deg. Heating element recently replaced. Broiler is also malfunctioning

Hello there:
Whenever you get the dreaded f-3 code this is the code that tells you that the temperature sensor is going bad or already has gone bad and needs to be replaced immediatly. It should look something like this and cost about 50 dollars

Does the bottom ignito glow when the "bake" option is selected? If not, replace the ignitor. Even if it glows, it may not be achieving the electrical resistance value needed by the safety valve to open thus allowing the gas to flow to the burner.
