SOURCE: heat controller mini-split air conditioner

Check each screw on your compressor to ground (compressor case). Should be very high resistance Then check the resistance across your teminals on the compressor to be sure it is not shorted. Then check the wiring to your capacitor (The big one). I ran across this just last week. The mechanic didnt have the capicator wired correctly. If it is brand new it will have a wiring schematic somewhere on it.
Dont leave the compressor on very long, but turn it on long enough to get a voltage reading across the terminals. I assume it should be 240 volts. If you have check all of this, they make a jump start gadget to start a stuck compressor. They sell it just about everywhere. Let me know how this comes out..

SOURCE: FUJITSU SPLIT AIR REMOTE CONTROL PROBLEM

I had a similar problem with only fan air then the blinking lights, found out that mice had got into the circuit board and corroded some connections with their urine. I would try the above solution by turning the power off for ten sec first but remember that you have to leave it for a few minutes before you operate remote.

SOURCE: Split system blower not blowing any air on heat or ac

You maybe iced up. Turn of AC turn fan on and wait about 45 minutes. If fan is blowing air out of vents chances are you were iced up. Two reason for iceing up are AC coil dirty and low on Freon. You need a service tech to check your Charge on system. If you can get to the coil to clean it grreat. Spray it with water let it set and brush clean with a toilet stool bruch. It will not damage the coil. If it is to stopped up you may have to have a service tech chemicaly clean the coil. Fan motors do go out. ou realy need a service tech to check this Rusty

On a cpkj 48-1B Goodman heat pump I am having condenser fan issues. runs full spedd for a while then cuts down to barely running, Even after changing the motor and capacitor.

Does the condenser utilise head pressure control to maintain head pressure? if so is the unit fully charged...r22. r410 Freon. If the unit is an older model. the fan motor only runs at 850 r.p.m design flaw. The newer units now run the fan at 1075. R.p.m. I have installed many Goodman split systems and was having problems similar to yours. Hope this. Helps you

Is there a spot to oil the fan when it starts to stick. was off for winter. fan stuck when turned on

The ac would need to be disassembled to get to the motor. The motor may have a plastic plug on each motor end bell where it would be oiled, 10 drops of oil in each bearing if the bearing is a bronze sleeve type. A ball bearing motor would growl or hiss while running.
If the motor or fan rotates freely by hand, then the bearings are not sticking, it would be an electric problem, the capacitor or a weak motor winding.

Dawlance split ac

My guess is compressor motor overtemp cutout. So why is the motor overheating? Possibles: Needs bearing oil, bad bearings, compressor too much pressure, overfull with freon, mechanical friction, cooling fan not turning.

Suggest set thermostat to demand less cooling, see if compressor stays on longer.

I am in need of a fan motor for my Danby Frig. Paret #JG50.DQ-10. Cannot find it anywhere. Suggestions?

The problem with the factory fan is that it is a sleeve-bearing fan. On average, a fan should operate for about 50,000 hours, which if it runs continuously would be over five years. However when the operating temperature rises or the fan is installed "not exactly" vertically, it will have shorter life.
I had to replace my fan two times withing two years since we bought the unit! Plus the stock fan becomes quite noisy after a couple of months of work.
With all of these problems I did some research for better fans and decided to purchase a ball-bearing fan to install it into the cooler by myself.
Ball-bearing fans on average outlast sleeve-bearing fans by 50 percent and produce less noise.
It's very important to purchase the right AC 115 Volts fan for this Danby wine cooler.
The original fan is Rullian Science RAL 1225S2 (120x120x25 mm in size, 100-125V AC, 0.09A)
The replacement model is Orion OA12AP-11-3TB which I got for $16.75 from Mouser Electronics (mouser.com). The replacement model is ball-bearing cooling fan with slightly higher/better parameters, which will help to cool down the wine cooler coil faster.
To replace the fan you need to tilt the wine cooler on the side and unscrew two small screws at the bottom that keep the original fan in place, remove one screw to the black box where the fan wires are attached and unplug these wires. Then you just need to replace it with the new fan and test that it works properly. If you never used Soldering Tool before you probably will be better off with getting some help from certified electrician - it still will be less expensive than getting this fan ordered every year from Danby.

Goodman heatpump fan runs, condenser wont start

Either the condenser fan has bad bearings, or it has a defective fan capacitor.
Turn off the breaker to the outside unit.
Spin the fan blade by hand.
If the fan blade spins easily and will spin a few revolutions with no problem the fan bearings are good.
If not, replace the fan motor due to bad bearings.
I am pretty sure you fan motor is bad because with a bad capacitor the fan motor will not get up to speed and may just sit and overheat.
I'm leaning toward a bad fan motor.

Remove the unit and clean the evaporator coils and the condenser coils with a good coil cleaner chemical.
Oil the fan motor bearings.
Replace the capacitor.

I have an Oreck air purifier model (air 4000). The power light is on but the fan will not turn unless I put it on high speed and manually push the fan to give it a jump start for it to start running but...

I tried that solution and it did not work due to the worn bushing. I went on line to CSH incorporated and ordered #534 Open Ventilation Fan & Blower Duty motor. The motor is a ball bearing motor rather than bushing, and is an exact replacement for the Fasco motor on the original. The repair is easy and a cheap repair at cost of about $67 dollars for the motor plus shipping. The unit now works great again.
