Make sure the other person has allowed their video cam enabled/transmit their image, especially to people in their contact list.

Sounds like the settings in the skype are wrong, you need to go into the tools - settings or properties. test the video there make sure you see yourself there, if you don't see yourself in the skype video settings page then its not working, also go to the sound settings, make sure the green bar moves when you speak, if it does not move the settings are wrong, you need to select the right microphone from the available on ths list there on the audio settings page in skype.

Before you can use your webcam in any chat program you have to configure it to that program

Start Skype.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Audio Settings.
Select your webcam as the default microphone. (If it has a built-in mic)
Click 'Save'
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
Select your webcam as the default.
Click 'Save'.
Test webcam by making a Skype test call.

Logitech Quickcam Deluxe causes speakers to go out.

Have you set your cam up on skype
Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings
and set the Microphone and Speakers
to the computer Audio Card.
Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera if installed properly
will come up and show a picture.

Webcam problem, i can see me but nobody else can

Normal 0 Skype setup. Go to "TOOLS", click on "OPTIONS," Then go to "Audio Settings" and click on it. Make sure both the Microphone and Speaker's are correctly chosen. Then "make a free test call." Wait till the voice tells you to record. Then when finished talking wait for the test persons voice to insure your audio transmission is working. Then go back to options and test your video settings. Click on Video Settings and proceed to set up you video camera. Also, you can visit this site for additional information to setup video.

Webcam - Recipients can't see me.

Hi,
I got this of Skype.
We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with Skype video.
Thank you for contacting Skype customer support about your video settings.
If you are using a Logitech webcam, please follow the steps below:
NB! To begin with please close Skype and make sure that you have unplugged the webcamera before installing the installation software that came with it.
1) Go to the control panel and open Add/Remove programs. Then from there uninstall any Logitech webcam software and Logitech webcam drivers from the list shown.
2) Download the latest drivers for your webcam from
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/405/&cl=roeu,en?prodcrid=405

3) Open the webcam installer package by double clicking it.
Now select: Custom installation (advanced) and click next. You are now given a choice whether you would like to install the software and drivers or just the drivers. Please select the second option (Logitech QuickCam drivers) then uncheck 'Enable VoIP Device Management' and click 'Next'. Accept the agreements and on the next page select 'I do not want to activate this Service' (Logitech destkop Messenger). Click 'Next' and the Logitech drivers should be installed. Restart your system and plug in your webcam. Your webcam should now be correctly installed.

When in skype, we canot see the other person om our webcam

Do you have a router installed between your Skype installation and the other person. Does the other person have a router installed? Are you both using high speed connections i.e. a good broadband connection. Even cable will sometimes cause problems. If you and he has a router in your configurations, then verify that ports necessary for video transmission are open on both ends of the connections.
