You just have to restart the computer and it should automatically reinstall the driver you have deleted. But if it does not do that, try system restore to retrieve it from a certain date. To do that, Click Start
>>All Programs
>>Accesories
>>System Tools
>>System Restore
Select an earlier date, then follow the prompts to Finish.

Hi,
You can go to hp support site -
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=362754#N6276

or you can run a restore disk.

Best of luck.

The CD drive in myh HP Pavilion MX70 will flash green for a few seconds, then flash amber. How do I get my cd drive to operate correctly?

make sure that the cd-drive is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the cd-drive including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or
your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program
you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd-drive then plug them back in or
you might have to uninstall then reinstall your CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device
control panel admistrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you can update driver, roll back driver,or
select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall
hope this helps
if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer

Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

Hp dv4 notebook recovery patch, no recovery disc, recovery parttion deleted

If you deleted your recovery partition you'll have to purchase a recovery cd from HP. Another alternative is to borrow a windows cd install it and user the windows license number on the case of the tower to reinstall windows. if you do it this way you don't get all of HP"s bloatware.

Have hp Pavilion dv6000 with TSL632 dvd not working

Simple test: try to boot from a Linux Live-CD like  http://pclinuxos.com/  If you can't do it then it's a hardware fault, the unit is dead and needs to be replaced. If it works then your only option is to perform a Repair Windows install.

Deleted cd-rw/dvd-rom driver

I talked directly with HP about your problem. Unless you can find the driver in system32 or your windows installation disc, you will likely have to reinstall windows. Prepare a backup of all important files on that desktop though, because data loss is possible.

I think my web camera is delete off my computer

Yes, reinstall the driver for your camera, which is probably located on the CD that came with your system, or go to the manufacturer website and download the driver.
Good Luck.

Printer will not copy or scan but will print

Hi John, Even if you have deleted them by accident, you can always reinstall using the CD that came with the printer/scanner. If you want to do a clean install, then you would probably have to uninstall also the printer drivers and start from scratch. You may also not uninstall and set it up again. If you go this route, it is also possible that you will have two icons in your printer folder of the same hp printer. Assuming nothing is wrong with the hp, the scanner drivers and app would be reinstalled and presumably you will have access now to your copy/scan functions. Should like to download the installer/driver for you printer/scanner, it is available at (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&product=79488&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN). You would have to select your operating system. Hope this works for you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.
