Possibly. Change it and try again. If it blows again there is likely a problem with the unit.

I hooked my battery backwards now my 95 GMC won't run no fuel no spark what's can it be

Bad DOG! Break out the checkbook, you may have blown the computer. Need to start there. Not sure if there is reverse polarity diode protection or not. Have it checked. Even at a scrap yard they won't be cheap.

No power to windows, radio, dash

I would start by checking if the under dash fuse panel is getting power to all the fuses. A few will be hot at all times (like the brake light fuse, horn fuse), but with key on, all fuses in the fuse panel should have power available to them.
Use a test light, clip the ground clip to a metal bracket, and use the test light probe to touch the fuses at the ends-the little indents on top of fuse is open to the metal strip in the fuse. When the probe touches that strip, the test light should light, meaning power is getting to the fuses. No light? Maybe not grounded good-keep trying until you get a light when touching the fuses through that little **** at top of fuse. When you have a good ground, check all fuses. With key on, all fuses should have power-now you can check the radio fuse and dash fuse.

You can do this also to check for a blown fuse. Even a blown fuse will light the tester on one end of fuse. A good fuse will light tester on both ends of fuse. A blown fuse will only light tester on one end. You can check fuses this way without pulling the fuse out to inspect.
If no power to the fuse panel or to part of the panel, look for a bad fusible link or maxi fuse that distributes power to the fuse panel. There may also be a relay (ignition relay) that the key switch turns on to send power to the fuses that are hot in accessory or run.

I try to turn the tv on but there is no power.

check the incoming power with a tester and if ok then check the plug fuse and if burnt replace and if ok proceed to open the tv cover and check the cable continuityand check the fuse in the power supply region if blown, check other components inthe power supply area and replace the faulty ones if any then open the fuse in the power supply and connect a 100w test lamp to see if there is a short circuit. if the bulb lights up and gets dim gradually you ca now remove the lamp and put backthe fuse and test again

however, your tv problem could be solved by simply replacing a burnt fuse but its always advisable to verify the cause of the blown fuse

Dryer runs but does not get hot to dry clothes

Hello there:
There are a couple of things to check if the dryer does not heat properly
There's no heat If your dryer doesn't heat, check these: Power from the house Heating element Thermal fuse Wiring Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected. Heating element Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable. Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Wiring A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.
