Your TV most likely has faulty capacitors in the power supply section of the TV. This is a failry common problem.

  • No video, Power light is on or blinking.
  • TV is making a clicking noise.
  • TV takes a while to come on
  • Screen is very dim or flickers.
Bought a brand new Samsung LN46C630 .Turn it on - 2c07611.png The number one cause for the symptoms above are faulty capacitors within your Plasma or LCD TV. The number one reason that these parts fail is that TV manufacturers often times use lower grade capacitors in their efforts to reduce costs. After several years these lower grade parts will tend to fail first. To insure that these parts will not fail again its imperative that they are replaced with high temp, high quality, low-ESR caps. You can find the parts online from sources like Digikey or you can get complete reair kits incuding the parts, repair instructions, and support from www.TvRepairKits.com

Samsung 46 Inches LCD TV Model#LN46C630 Black Screen with Sound

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Samsung monitor randomly flashes black

> brand-new out-of-the-box

Presumably, it has a "warranty".

So, take it back to where you bought it, and demonstrate the problem to them, and make them repair/replace it, under warranty.
