Hello there, sorry to hear about this problem. This is unfortunately fairly common with the Wii, it means the laser unit on the actual dvd-rom of the wii is having problems. Depending on how old your system is, Nintendo will fix this for free, or there may be a small fee. At this point you will want to call Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 and explain the problem, they will definitely get you fixed up. Please be sure to rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me. I would be forever grateful. If you have more questions on this or need further clarification please just respond to this answer and I will get right back with you.

Thanks
Tim

Please consider coming back to your question here and changing your rating to 4 thumbs up. It is extremely important that you do so, it actually hurts my account having just the 3 thumbs up. Thank you Tim

Xbox 60 not reading all game discs

There are two possibilities, one bad, one easy to fix.
1: Your disk drive is broken, and the laser can no longer read the information on the disks, or it can no longer send the information. This would mean replacing the disk drive entirely.
2: The disk drive laser is dirty, and needs cleaned. If this is the problem, it is easier and much cheaper to fix, but do not try to do this yourself, unless you're properly trained with these devices, as there are a couple parts in the disk drive that will no longer work if taken apart wrong.

If you're lucky, just try cleaning all of your disks, which you might have mucked up with use and time.

Showing NO DISC while on DVD mode why this

I'm assuming it plays CDs? If it reads NO DISC, in the DVD mode, the laser that reads the DVD is no longer able to read the TOC, Table of Contents. Generally, that means the laser(Optical Pickup) needs to be replaced. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Cd inserted in cd player no disc

The problem is in the laser pickup assembly, overtime the laser becomes weak until it will no longer read the disc, it is far cheaper to replace the stereo than have the old unit repaired.

Disc not reading

If you're getting a Disc Read Error (DRE), it could be one or both of these things.

Your laser lens is dirty or broken and needs to be cleaned or replaced, or your disc tray is faulty and needs to be serviced.

Try cleaning the lens and see if it will read. If you can hear the disc spin in the PS3, then your disc tray is fine.

No longer loading dvds

You may have a bad laser. First, make sure the laser assy. travels back and forth easily, then make sure the table the disc sits on spins freely. If it still isn't reading, load a disc and immediatly flip it over to it's top and see if it works. Working or not, still a bad laser.

Xbox 360 can't read any disc

This happens when the laser has blown or at the end of its lifespan, replacement lasers will fix this problem or if its possible maybe a re-alignment would also make it work again. Replacing the part is very easy and yoou can find the lasers on ebay for around £15. If you get stuck and need help we offer a full repair service www.fixmyconsole.co.uk

CD error

Usually the turning longer than usual means the laser is having a hard time reading the disc. See if the same disc will work in another cd player, if its not the disc try cleaning the lens with a lens cleaning disc. ER (error) usually means a> the disc is unreadable or b> the laser is dirty or inoperable
