Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

I am getting e4a on my gas dryer

Good Afternoon Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

Typically error code E4A indicates that your Frigidaire dryer is experiencing a program timeout fault or max time has exceeded for that cycle. A professional normally checks for anything that would extend dry times such as: no heat, restricted vent, blower fan blade broken or loose, dryer installed in closed with solid door, faulty connection in moisture sensor bar circuit. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair your dryer. Hope this helps!

My worldpool dryer truns but will not heat up??

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com.

Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable. Check the thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) that is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.
If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the dryer back into operation.
