Samsung DLP TV no picture or sound 2 weeks old lamp
I changed lap about 2 weeks ago. Working o.k till today.
When I was going to see a DVD movie, I changed from VCR to DVD to be able to see rented movie, picture disapeared, sound went low for a few seconds and disapeard too. Lamp sign flashing. Lamp is off.
I tried another new lamp, but nothing changed. The Lamp is properly placed and secured as requiried.

With television on and lamp lit, If you hit your menu key does it show a menu. Also just for checking sake if you are using a cable box disconnect it and using the cable coming from wall connect directly to television and try changing the source input to TV on your remote to see if anything is happens, if not then play a dvd and switch source until u hear the sound of the movie u inserted if no video, then its more then likely that the analog/Digital board assembly has failed. I don't know if you vaccumed it before it went out or after but you might want to check to make sure you did'nt hit any cables wires and loosened a plug on any of the exposed boards. If you do find one of the plugs on a board loose or not plugged snuged in its socket make sure u turn off the power first before reseating it. Also if you are using componet input for video or running video through a audio receiver make sure its set to the correct video output source. and that all cables are snug. Especially the green cable on componet inputs. If this cable is loose or comes out their will be no video.

This is an ongoing problem with Mitsubishi DLP HDTV's contact the Customer Service at 1-800-332-211. Tell them this has been going on for a while and you want the TV either Fixed or Replaced. Ask for Adrianne Hardt, she is a Customer Service Manager...... TELL HER RICK GRIFFITH told you to call.
I am in the 4th week negociations with Mitsubishi over these exact problems. I purchased my 57" DLP HDTV in Aug of 06. Replaced the Lamp 3 times and have had 5 Service calls. I DO NOT have and extended Warranty. Mitsubishi provided me with the extention in writing and stated if any problem occurred again they would replace the Unit or provided monetary compensation.
Good Luck and be persistant.
