SOURCE: john deere 2010 tractor. pto grinds and wont engage

The PTO usually has a clutch that has to be engaged so that you can select the PTO rotation setting. I had a problem like that on my tractor and all it needed was a little adjustment on the PTO clutch lever, so it could disengage the PTO gearbox properly.

SOURCE: John Deere Lt 166 ride on mower

jd lt 166 has 5 different decks
3 of which have the same belt routing
1st the belt needs to be adjusted correctly to stop it from "slacking off"
then on most decks the belt is routed in between the 2 small idler pulleys and then to the engine pulley
so let me know the deck i.e. 36", 42 ", 46", 48"
different belt sizes also

SOURCE: need instructions for changing a drive belt on a John Deere LT155

I have googled LT155 and came upon john deere LT155 lawn tractor(noncurrent). It took me to John Deere's site. I put in your model number and it had several catagories. I would try the alphabetical list, go to B and look for traction belt.
Good day.

Travel pedals do not engage.

Things to check out. 1. That there is oil in the drive unit. Is there a reservoir on top and can you find a dipstick? A reservoir should be half full at least. 2. Is the disengage lever or rod pushed in? Look to the rear of the machine frame and low down. This disengages a valve to enable the machine to be moved without the motor running. If in the open position the drive will not work. 3. Check that the belt is driving the pulley on the top of the transmission. This normally has a tensioner which automatically takes up the slack. A worn belt can slip or jump off the pulleys. Look at the motor drive pulley to ensure that the belt is still on it. This is NOT the bottom one which drives the deck and has an electric clutch.

Belt slipped off Transmission Pulley of John Deere D110. How to get the belt keeper aside and put the belt back on the pulley?

There are usually two bolts securing the keeper to the bottom of the tractor. remove one and loosen the other and you should be able to swing it out of your way. worst case is to take them both out and replace the belt and reinstall the keeper

The drive belt may be broken, or it may have slipped off a pulley.

Check first to see if the drive belt has jumped off a pulley or the belt is stretched or broken. Next if there is a grinding noise it means the transmission has a broken or chewed up gear.
