Problem for Keyboards and Mice

Generic problem for all Keyboards and Mice

Philips SpeechMike Executive V3.2 wont run...

My company uses SpeechMike Executive V3.2 and we're stuck with it. Philips do not provide an update for running it in Vista.

I have a new notebook running Vista and SpeechMike wont run on it. I get the error message "Internal error on creating Application catched before MFC could do it".

I have tried altering the compatibilty settings alternately to XP, 2000 and 98 without success. I have even tried to setup a dual boot with XP but the drivers don't exist to run this notebook with XP.

Any suggestions on how to get this software working with Vista would be appreciated.

- Same problem but with the SpeechMike Pro Plus - looks more like a 64bit Vista problem. I think the XP driver will work OK with 32 bit Vista. A lot of laptops are coming out with 64bit flavor :( - bitsmasher

- i HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. One helpful philips reseller techniocal department tried the speechmike 3 software on their vista and reported it was running perfectly. they could not replicate the p roblem. Could it be the way that some vista machines are set up?
Philips cannot assist as they are not supporting 3.x any more

I had trouble initially with the same error message as deedee 222 8 and cannot give exact instructions. Try intalling old version, uninstall and then install upgrade 390 from Philips web site. I had to restart 3 times to get rid of an error messge on boot up but then it worked!
