My pc does not support file format on mini discs

I would try this, go to the machine where the mini is read, copy the files to another USB mini then see if that mini can be read by the Win7 machine.

try to change usb cable a shorter one... or try to connect to a dock for 2.5 HDD so you can recover your files..

In this case you can't do anything. You will have to format your desktop. Before formatting I want to say you that repair your computer while formatting your computer. Repair means repair your files and folder which option have been given in your formatting disc.

You could copy the cd from the mini-disc onto a regular cd if you've got a PC laptop. Doesn't matter that it's for a mac if you're just copying the disc verbatim.

OR you could just copy the files from the disc onto a flash drive.

I hate those little discs!

First find the format of the video.

Insert the video cd to the computer and right click the video file and the click the properties menu, watch the file type(i.e: .flv , .avi ,.wmv)

Basically the hitachi saves in mpeg2 or mpeg4 type.

Use the GOM player to play the video Or there are many more players available to play that video.

This message appears when mini dvd disc got some error in recording tracks, if its rewritable mini disc then format it as option is available in camera settings menu and if disc is once writable then use another disc as it can not be formatted.
Caution: Format will erase/ delete all files on dvd disc and refresh the dvd disc.

AA1..is a very useful power pack ..can I suggest you get a flash drive (4 gb its about $9.99 to 12.99) you really dont need the 8 and up...(I use my for large files like movies/and format it and use for firmware on my Vizio tvs)

download any software firefox/itunes to flash drive from your pc (transfer to AA1)

requirements needed....1 rca (red & white) cable to mini plug, a software http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ......once downloaded software and your device is connected to pc mic in / audio in...audacity lets you choose a format to save your file (pick MP3) this will take up less space on pc....this will take a little time to get uss to so prcactice a bit. if your mini disc tracks already have gaps between them or not...once recorded audacity lets you edit what you just recorded..(you can fade out/in any part of the file)....hope this helps you do what you wanna do...feel free to rate the help

Two problems here.

To JOA629 - You may possibly have initialised the disc in VR mode by mistake. VR mode discs will not play on a PC. Are you re-initialising the disc between when it works and when it doesn't ? If you're using VIDEO mode, are you finalising the disc on the camcorder before using it on the PC ?

To dewynn729 - you have intialised the disc in VR mode, which is a newer format than VIDEO mode. VR mode discs will produce .VRO file extension. Record your video on a disc initialised in VIDEO mode, finalise the disc on the camcorder (don't forget to plug the camcorder into the power adapter, and switch both on), then read the disc on a PC.

YOUR SOLUTION IS GET A VOB AND VRO FILE CONVERTER SINCE THE CAMCORDER PUTS IT IN THOSE FILE FORMATS TRY CONVERTING THEM TO AVI AND THEN WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER WILL BE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE IT
