Depend on for how long the saw has been used. When the time past over the head cylinder cloaks with heavy carbon sediments that avoid a proper spark gas mixture.

1-Try to change the spark plug.
2-Made a good gas oil mixture.

Starting problems

Your problem may be one of the following:
First check or just replace the fuel filter. Usually located under the car in front of the rear axle, drivers side.
Next, the fuel pump may be worn out. Usually they get loud or stop working (running).
Next, check the fuel pressure regulator. Usually located on the front fuel rail, drivers side.
Is the vacuum line attached? Not leaking or rotted?
Also, do you smell a strong fuel odor when it won't start? May be one or more stuck-open injectors, or the coil pack(s) is/are bad.
Checking these in the order listed will more than likely fix your problem.

My timmer wont start. Replaced fuel lines and now nothing. It ran before the lines dry rot.

If the lines dry rotted, some of it probably go into the carburetor. There is a very fine mesh screen inside the carb that traps this sort of trouble. Take the carb off and remove the cover on the end of the carb that doesn't have the hole in it. Find the screen underneath the fuel pump diaghram and clean it with non-flammable brake cleaner spray. This is a very common problem on all these machines....

Fuel line keeps stallingoit after a few seconds

By your question, I assume that the fuel line runs dry after the engine runs a few seconds. The first thing to check is for a plugged fuel filter in the tank and the condition of the connecting fuel lines for rot, hardness, or cracking. If the machine has a primer bulb, does it pump fuel into it after several pumps? Remove the line from the primer that goes back to the tank to make sure it is pumping fuel from the carburetor only. If you replaced any lines, they may have been reconnected incorrectly. Hope this answers your question!

I have a 1994 Gran Marquis. Fuel lines are rotting and leaking

Just get a piece of the rotting fuel line so that you will be assured of getting the right size. Take it to a shop that sells car accessories, and ask them for enough to do your car. Also get new clamps. Start at the fuel tank, undo the clamp, pull off the old hose , put on the new one, do up the new clamp, and then just follow the old hose along, replacing it with the new one as you go. At the far end. do the same... undo the old clamp, put the new hose and clamp on. But I forgot to tell you about the fuel filter. Replace this while you are doing this job.

No full speed then dies

Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
Chain Saws:
5) check impulse tube and intake boot for cracks or leaks
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
Remove Carburetor
6) replace gaskets/diaphragms
a) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb
b) fuel pump diaphragm goes against the carb body,
then the gasket towards the outside
c) metering gasket goes against the carb body,
and the diaphragm goes towards the outside

The fuel line is rotted and the fuel filter fell off (along with parts of the rotted fuel line). How is this best repaired?

Take a piece of the old hose to a parts store. Buy new line and cut to the same length as the old line and replace it.

91 firebird won't stay running

you must not add gas, you must drain all the gas from the tank and fuel pump and clean the carburator also the spark plugs. then put a new gas.

My sv-30 blower will not continue running.

Have this problem currently with my WeedEater SV30, and I suspect the filter fuel line has rotted off where it passes into the tank. Had exactly this problem with my cheepy trimmer and was able to replace the fuel line. Hopefully I can do the same with my SV30 blower. Seems like the gas line material does not like the ethenol in today's gasoline...
