You can't solve it by yourself. even if you clean the pads or rinse it with water. the ink absorber counter was still in error, so has to be reset. but no reset software for MP190 to date exist.

but to start, the same logic apply for MP160, that will hold true for MP190, the eprom chip holding the ink counters has to be erased or overwritten.

btw, some IC's are marked QK1-3696 obviously the MCU. TPC8778, K824Q, SN0507087 and more. MP190 main board is QK1-5045-02. and there one more IC. so one of this is the eprom chip holding MP190 's ink level, counters that need to be preprogrammed.
oh, that has to be in low level printer mode. see google for procedure on putting the printer into low level mode, same with MP160.

SOLVE! found a working reset tool for ink absorber E27 error MP190. the tool for MP198 works with MP190. link is athttp://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/... set printer to service mode first, the rest follow the procedure on this link and the reset software tool. you only need to clear waste ink "main", then "platen".

NICE SOFTWARE, Service Mode Tools Version1[1].050. WORKS to reset ink absorber E27 error for MP190.

How to remove setting for ink absober full on canon mp190

This mayclear the ink absorber problem. There is ink absorbers located at both ends of the printerwhere the ink head move.
To dry the ink absorber, power up the printer and open the cover so the inkcartridges and print head will move to the middle of the printer.
Then take several sheets of absorbent tissue, fold it into a pad and place itinside the printer over the ink absorber on the far left hand side of theprinter to soak up the excess ink. You may need to change the absorbent tissuea few times. Then repeat the same procedure on the right hand ink absorber.
Close the lid and the printer should now function normally.

My printer displayed: the ink absorber is full. i then cleaned the absober but its now not displaying anything. so how best do i solve this problem?

For Canon MP190 ONLY it worked that software but I used a software named Resetter Canon MP198. First put the printer in service mode. Press and hold the RESUME button (Is the red one ), then press and hold the POWER button, wich became green.
While still holding the POWER button, Release the RESUME button, then press and release the RESUME button two more times. Ast the first press the green power button turns off and a orange led turns on. At the second press the orange led turns off and the power became green. Now the printer is in Service Mode. So with printer conected to PCstart the software and reset the ink absorber level. It worked for me.

How to solve Canon MP190 printer with waste ink full problem

I am guessing that their is an electricial connection from that tray.Find that contact inside of the tray and either spray it with tunner spray(you get  a can from an electronics place like radio shack) or try cleaning it with a pencil eracer. That sensor is still reading ink in the tray.
