Hi Paul have a g25-av513. First disconnect and remove both hard drives and the battery. In the battery compartment there is a small screw you need to remove and in the hard drive 2 bay there are 2 f8 screws that need to be removed as well. In all there should be 17 screws that need to be removed before you can pop the back cover off. When removing pay close attention to the connectors attached to the underside of the back cover. be careful not to pull to hard or you may tear the connectors which are very thin wires. First you have to remove all the screws on the underside of the laptop. The screws are marked f8's and f16's the longer ones are the f16's of course. I have taken mine apart several times already due to a boot up shut down issue which I believe is related to the modem board underneath hard drive 2. It seems that when ever I disconnect and reconnect this board my power shut down issue disappears. If it happens again I'm going to remove i all together and see if that takes care of my problem.

I hear noise coming from the back vents and I think it might be the processor fan. Is there a way to fix/clean it so that noise goes away and do I have to open it from the bottom? This is for Qosmio G25.

You probably need to replace the cooling fan, but you can try cleaning it out first. Get a can of compressed air or use an air compressor to spray pressurized air into the vent to spray dust out. If this doesn't work, you probably need to replace the fan. I actually found a guide for opening up the Qosmio G25 and replacing or cleaning the cooling fan. Check it out:

Hi i have problem with toshiba qosmio g25-av513 when i power on its show clear QOSMIO monogram and then start show saverl difrent colurs lines i try with external monitor show same .pls help me to fix this...

You can try downloading the most recent video drivers from the nvidia web site and installing them.

Other than that you would probably need to contact Toshiba tech support. Based on the information you provided it sounds like your video card is having a hardware issue. It's the reason you see the same lines on both monitors.

Spilled Water on Toshiba Qosmio G25-AV513

If you are pretty good at computers then you can open up the computer and see just how bad the damage is. You may need to replace the keyboard, or a few parts of he mother board. If it was water I think you would have more of a chance, but the sugar will definitely cause problems if it hit any circuit boards. Your best bet is to take out your hard drive, make it an external hard drive and get a new computer.

No hotkeys on my G25-AV513

Usually on Toshiba notebooks, they have a memory resident program on their call fkeys. If it isn't installed on your computer, you can download a new one from Toshibas support website.

Yes.. First of all you are entitled to open the case only if your lapotop is not covered by any means warranty.. If you open it when it has a warranty, the warranty becomes void.. and moreover there are many complications n opening it.. so i suggest you to give it to a system engineer.. but if u want to do it by urself.. i shalll tell u the steps.. mail me..
