Lost the disc that lets me load music from computer to mp3 player

How do I get this fixed? Is there a download available? It is a Creative ZEN V PLUS 2 GB. SERIAL NUMBER IS C6PF2071702M24711N DAP-FLL0040

If you have the RealPlayer, try that. If you have WMP, it will try to transfer everything, though.

in your case, you might need an application like Creative ZENcast Organizer 2.01.01 Suite (synchronize various types of media files and data stored in your Creative portable media player and your computer)

I need a program for the Zen V Plus that works with Windows Vista. I loaded a disc that was for xp and of course it does not work on my pc

Go to the Creative site for Vista software. The Zen V Plus support is available with next link:

When downloading with the computer having Vista, the matching software will automatically show up for that Operating System. You can scroll down on the support page for changing manually the OS. When the screen does not show Vista downloads, select and SUBMIT for selecting the required Operating System (Vista 32 or 64 bit)

For software for the computer look under Application:
click 'Show Details' for more information about the software.
Media Source Player contains the utilities for main tasks.
There are also extra programs and updates when running Vista.

Creative zen v plus. when i turn on it says its in recovery mode thats all it will do i reformated it but it does not allow me to put music or anything else on it


Connect you player to your computer and use the recovery tool provided by creative labs.

Recovery tool: download here

You'll have to reflash te firmware with this tool.

When the firmware is lost on a zen or any other creative labs mp3 player, the mp3 player boots into recovery mode.

Note when doing this, all data on the mp3 player can get lost.

Creative zen v plus start up screen freezes when switching on


I had this same exact problem. To solve it I plugged into the computer (if computer doesnt read it its ok ) then pressed the reset button for about 5 seconds. you should see a screen . Then press the play and power buttons on at the same time and you should get a recovery screen. You have three options. from ther you can rebooot and automatically upgrade the firmware after its been downloaded from the creative website. Lost ALL my music after charging


Well! I bought a ZEN V Plus yesterday, spent a whole day setting it up ... tried to charge it today, using the USB charger ... KAPUT! it went into recovery mode ... I had the same problem as you mentioned .... try this firmware fix from CREATVE ,.... Hope it helps! good luck

you should not have had to install anything for the Zen to work on Vista. If you have installed any Creative software, remove it. Reboot, plug your player in, open Device Manager, and remove the device that shows up representing your player (completely uninstall it). Reboot again, and plug in your player. It should be recognized now.

If that still doesn't work, then boot your player into Recovery Mode, and perform both a Disk Cleanup and a Reformat. Reboot the player and try plugging it in again.
if it still doesn't try another computer and upload the latest firmware to it and then try it on your pc after firmware is loaded

try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.
