Try plugging in an external keyboard so you can access the system. Once you are in the system, see if there are any errors in device manager and update drivers if needed. If it is not a driver issue, you may need to replace the keyboard.

Hey, If a few keys do not work on your keyboard you can get them replaced , i recently got my new replacement keys from www.laptopkey.com Now my laptop keyboard is as good as new. Love them for they service and reasonable cost.

1. first you need to remove the keyborad
2. use a special contact cleaner to clean it
3. use a hair dryer to dry it
4. reinstall the keyborad

There should be two enter keys in ur keyborad try the alternative.

Else ur keyboard membrane might lost contact with the key. try replaceing the keyborad

on start up hold the Alt F9 keys and force the laptop into safe mode under windows. while under safe mode go to control panel to user accounts and change the password. then reboot the computer and try the new password, it should work.

As long as you have all the pieces (key,levers and spring) you should be able to reassemble them. Every manufacturer designs these mechanisms differently so there is not a generic way to put it back together. If the parts or keyboard were damaged then your only recourse is to order a new keyboard because individual parts are not available for purchase (unless your lucky to find them on ebay).
