Hi

Error code e005 means the temperature sensor has gone bad. To fix this error you'll need to replace the temperature sensor. It might have happened that the temperature sensor wires have been disconnected from the main board. To replace the temperature sensor you'll need to disassemble the washer and inspect the drum's bottom for the temperature sensor. Also check the wires coming to the sensor fro any cut.

Please post back for any further assistance.

SOURCE: whirlpool washing machine displays error code e14

To prevent the washer from operating while the detergent drawer is open your machine has what is called a "reed switch". The reed switch is controlled by this magnet, so that when the drawer is closed the magnet causes the reed switch to close and this tells the control board to go ahead and run the machine.

Your error message is telling you the reed switch it not working, so they want you to check the magnet to make sure it is still in place and is working.

I purchased this machine last year now after ending the programme i.e.washing door is not opening and it is showing error 14. Could u please help me out. Regards

Hi.

The fault E14 on Hoover washers indicate a problem with the heating circuit. Element, Thermistor and Central Control unit must be tested.

About error codes and troubleshooting Hoover appliances see the links below:

Hoover After Sales Service - Online Fault Finder

(Hotpoint/Creda/Indesit/Ariston Error Codes)

If you need parts or diagrams see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?
The sellers apply to USA market. Elsewhere see your local hoover distributor.

If you need to call a technician ring the customer service number listed on the owner manual or check your local Hoover website.

What is error code 16

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If it is an Optima with a brushless motor (I only have those fault codes for Hoover), 'E16' means 'water heater element insulation fault'. Sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
