Question about Sony Handycam DCR-HC42 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
The screen was accidently hyperextended, now the buttons on the lcd do not respond to touch. When the screen is rotated to face what I'm filming the image is upside down. I can control playback on thru my computer. Please guide me to a quick fix.
Flexible Cable between LCD and Camera circuit seems damaged. Change this cable and hope problem will be solved.

If the issue persists, perform
a power resetting of the Camcorder. To perform power resetting, please remove
the battery pack, turn the Power switch to ON for more than 15 seconds, turn
the Power switch to OFF position and then reinsert the battery pack.
If the issue persists even after performing all the above-mentioned steps, service is required.
