If no water got in the console then we have to presume it's ok
and the Power Supply may appear to be working but it's malfunctioning First try a new power supply at a game stop
or a friends . I believe it's the power supply. also check the two
usb ports on the right hand side for cris-crossing contacts this
will also prevent the console for starting up.

if you have any questions feel free to ask before you rate this tip

Thank you

2002 Hyundai Elantra - My car overheated over the weekend and is not holding water or antifreeze.

It is highly possible the radiator has developed a leak in the upper and/or solder joints of the radiator. If it got hot enough it could melt the brazing and/or solder joints. You probably will not be able to see this with just your eyes but it would show up when pressure is built up inside the radiator when driving. Any competent auto shop can run a radiator pressure test to find the problem. Hope this helps.

Over heating , antifreeze leeking from that water

Hello,

If your water pump is leaking from the water pump for sure that is causing your over heating problem. I am sure that most likely the seal is gone. There is a main seal in the pump, and those are normally the first to go, and you are better off replacing the whole pump, that trying to fix it. Once your water pump is replaced , the over heating problem should be fixed. If pump is leaking it does not have the pressure provided to have the antifreeze and water to flow correctly through engine block and radiator.

Thanks Mike

Low coolant

The best way to check this is with a radiator pressure tester this will allow you to pressurize the system and find out where the leak is.

Xbox 360 not powering up at all. power supply light blinks orange

An orange light is illuminated on the power supply for one of the following reasons:

* The console is turned off.
* The power supply is disconnected from the console.
* The power supply cord is not fully inserted into the power socket of the console.
* The power supply is faulty.
* The console is faulty. (The console might be faulty if it does not turn on when the power supply light is orange.)

The power supply has several built-in safeguards to help prevent damage to either your Xbox 360 console or the power supply itself. The power supply will automatically turn off if either the current flow, the voltage, or the temperature is too high. When the power supply turns off for any of these reasons, the light on the power supply will turn from green (normal) to orange or to red, or the light will turn off. When the power supply light is green, the power supply is working correctly. What you are experiencing is an over heating issue, that may have damaged the supply.

With that being said, i would try to reset the supply by disconnecting the unit from the console, and unplugging the power supply unit from the wall socket for 5 minutes. Once the 5 minutes have passed, reconnect the unit to the console, and plug the power supply into the wall socket. If the console dose not power up, and the supply unit is still showing an orange illuminated operating light, this will confirm that the power supply unit will need to be replaced. Contact Microsoft for the correct replacement parts needed(power supply unit)

TIPS FOR PREVENTING OVERHEATING ISSUES

* Do not block any ventilation openings in the power supply.
* Do not put the power supply on a bed, on a sofa, or on any other soft surface that might block ventilation openings.
* Do not put the power supply in a confined space, such as a bookcase, a rack, or a stereo cabinet, unless the space is well ventilated.
* Do not put the power supply on a stereo speaker, an amplifier, or a heat source such as a radiator or a heat register.
* Do not use an unlicensed accessory, such as a replacement power supply that was not manufactured by Microsoft, or any accessory that plugs in between the Xbox 360 console and the power supply.
* Plug the power supply directly into a working wall outlet. You may have problems with the power supply if you use an extension cord or a power strip if the extension cord or the power strip is faulty or cannot supply the required power to the console.
* If you are not sure about the reliability of an AC power outlet, power circuit, or power cabling, do not use it. Contact an electrician.

XBOX 360 power brick flashing orange and green

according to the microsoft website:

The power supply has several built-in safeguards to help prevent damage to either the console or to the power supply itself. The power supply can turn itself off when there is too much current, too much voltage, or too high a temperature. Under these conditions, the light on the power supply will turn from green to orange or to red. Or, the light will turn off. When the power supply light is green, the power supply is working correctly.

To help the power supply work correctly, always try to use the following best practices:
  • Make sure that all ventilation openings in the power supply are free to ventilate.
  • Do not put the power supply on a bed, on a sofa, or on any other soft surface that may block ventilation openings.
  • Do not put the power supply in a confined space, such as a bookcase, a rack, or a stereo cabinet, unless the space is well ventilated.
  • Do not put the power supply on a stereo speaker, an amplifier, or a heat source such as a radiator or a heat register.
  • Plug the power supply directly into a wall outlet. In other words, do not use extension cords or power strips.
Basically, feel if it is overheated. if it is let it cool down. If not try a different wall socket. If that doesn't work you probably have a problem with your power brick or console. Try borrowing someone else's power cords.
