Your looking for a 9 pin IC that one there is for the stereo decoder. Solder the one you found near where it said vertical deflection as the IC will be near that section of the board

Check the speaker/s first. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. IN LG TELIVISION USING TDA 9370PS N3 1774 THE VOLTAGE AT THE COLLECTOR OF H DRIVER TRANSISTER BECOME 0

Disconnect the base of horizontal drive transistor, and now check it collector voltage. If it is found OK; [almost equal to its iput voltage]; check the voltage that comes to its base, from the IC pin. It should be below 0.1 to 0.25V. If found higher than this, the IC is faulty. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts.

Tda 9370

Check the video output RGB out terminals of the TDA9370. Check the voltages. If can, check signal waveform. You have't specified nothing about the audio status. If you wish to get the schematic of TVs, using TDA9370, check the site linked here. Never confirm that the IC is OK. Check the serial data & serial clock. Replace the main system control memory IC, too. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by type in the model name to your set in its search box, or view it in Mosaic /Timeslide option.

42PFL5332D/37 does not turn on red light flashes 6 times.

Don't have a "solution" yet, but found this table that decodes the blinks:

Error Code Table

0 = No error
1 = X-ray protection, E/W protection, and/or Vertical protection active
2 = High beam current protection active
3 = Reserved
4 = +5V protection active
5 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) register corrupted
6 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) error
7 = Total failure
8 = Internal RAM error (Microprocessor IC 7000)
10 = NV memory (IC7088) addressing error
11 = NV memory (IC7088) size error
12 = Histogram (YUV) (IC 7770) error
14 = Sound processor I²C error (TDA9855)
16 = Main Tuner I²C error (IC 1125)
17 = PIP Processor I²C error (IC 7350)
18 = PIP Tuner I²C error (IC 1127)

I, too, have the 6 blinks of a red light. I found another person online that suggested that perhaps the power cord was "defective" as it's a common issue. I replaced the power cord with one from an old computer (they're the same cord) and it seems to be OK now. That's all I can offer you at this time.

Dead tv

Repaired dead Polaroid TDA-03211C

I fixed a dead Polaroid TDA-03211C for my friends. When it failed it had just been turned on and then it went totally dead. This unit is a little over a year old and out of warranty. When I inspected the power supply it was continuously trying to start up but could not. With a Fluke meter you could see some of the DC output voltages rapidly rising and falling, but never getting to normal levels. I pulled the power supply thinking some of the capacitors were bad. Once I had the power supply out I used the Ohmmeter to check for any open or shorted diodes and/or transistors. To my surprise I found a shorted diode! I figured it would be the capacitors (typical failure in switchers), however they looked OK (not leaking goo or puffed out) and the TV is not that old. The failed diode (sorry I forgot to get the circuit designation) is a HER-304 (near the middle of the board with the cathode lead soldered to a small silver colored heatsink). The HER-304 is a 300 Volt, 3.0 Amp High Efficiency Rectifier in a DO-27 package. The DO-27 package is cylinder shaped with axial leads, 0.375" (9.5mm) long and 0.197" (5mm) in diameter. This diode is for the 20 volt source and is connected to one of the secondaries of the transformer. On eBay I found a vendor selling five (5) HER-305 (400 Volt units, better than the original) for $1.25 plus $7.95 shipping. Also I checked most of the Capacitors with a Sencor Z-meter, all that were check were OK. If a Cap. had another in parallel with it I did not check the other. I removed (un-soldered) the heatsink from the board and then the diode from the heatsink. I put it all back together and Yes, under $10.00 in parts (actually a $0.25 part) and a little time and the TV works again! 24 July 2009.

WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!! Switch mode power supplies such as this use and generate voltages at current levels that can be LETHAL!!! If you DO NOT know what you are doing, find someone that does or buy a new TV, it is not worth dying for!!!
