Question about Dell Vostro 1015 Laptop
If you try to run XP setup without changing the BIOS SATA setting to
ATA mode, setup will BSOD with an 0X0000007B error. Make sure the SATA
setting in the BIOS is ATA...
you will get this error when you will be booting your system from CD and windows installation will be in first step.
to resolve it, go to BIOS setting-->change BIOS SATA setting to ATA mode--->apply changes-->insert windows CD and restart the system-->press f12--->nd boot from CD....hope u will be able to resolve it.

The Vostro 1015 needs Windows XP Service pack 2 or higher. You can slipstream a copy from the web and create a SP2 copy from your SP1 copy.
